DoughJ's Chicken & Donuts — Restaurant in Webster

I had already been by this place numerous times and decided that today was the day I HAD to try it! There are 3 of us to feed but will sometimes share meals as we are not big eaters. When you walk in the door, you know that something good is coming because the aroma of chicken and donuts make you want to sample everything they have to offer! There is a small seating area with a couple of table and chairs along with a few booths. There is outdoor seating under a beautiful oak tree.

Not only do they offer Chicken and Donuts, they also have different kinds of coffees and also offer ice cream.

One of my choices was the 2 Chicken Tenders with 1 side of the Greens Medley and a roll. The other choice was a Chicken Tender plate with 1 side of Macaroni and Cheese, which I am a huge fan of, and a roll.

The Greens Medley is a combo of collards and cabbage seasoned with ham hock. I chose this against my better judgement but being from eastern NC, I wanted to see how they would match up to what I had been raised on. And oh my! It exceeded my expectations and was delicious!!

The Mac and Cheese was perfect with it being creamy and cheesy. The cheese was not bland tasting but at the same time was mild. The noodles were not overcooked.

There are numerous choices for donuts that are out of the park delightful in appearance and very colorful. I chose the Apple Fritter based on a recommendation with someone I had just spoken to about DoughJ's. Again, it exceeded everything I had hoped for except I wish I had been able to eat more of it! The dough was just a little crispy and the glaze was perfect. Every bite had a sample of apple it which was cooked to perfection.

I did hear the owner, J. Canty speaking about the specialty item, the "Glazer". It is one of their huge donuts, split in half, with their specialty, Chicken Tenders, layered on top covered with the other half of the donut. Their special glaze was then drizzled over top of this mind boggling sandwich. I did get to see one of them in person and I am sure it was as good, if not better, than anything else on the menu! Maybe in the future!!!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating since this was my first visit. They were very helpful and described many of the menu items to me.

I will definitely go back again as one of my family members is eyeing the Pork Chop plate menu item and I want to try the Chicken pieces dinner.

Cracker who. How about the 🍩's and fried catfish on Friday. Yes, great little secret in Bushnell -Webster Florida. Just get there by 1030 a.m., or they may be outta your favorite flavor of doughnut. And nobody wants to watch your child cry because they have to settle on their 2nd best!You've never experienced a piece of heaven unless you think.. Dunkin, who Krispy can't compare to the unique flavors and artistry this small local restaurant offers. Go for yourself. Tell me or Spookyinator we are wrong. Eating this in my parked car next to the restaurant as I write this. I was down here checking out the Webster market across the street and got hungry. Noticed this place was open, and I love chicken and waffles, so why not try it? I was greeted by, what I assume to be, the daughter of the establishment owners. She was maybe 11-14 years old. What a well mannered young lady she was when she explained to me the menu and what items she suggested that I should try. I really wanted a fried chicken donut sandwich, but unfortunately they were sold out of donuts for the day! That must say a lot if they sell out fast 🔥 I had chicken tenders and some sweet potato casserole, SOOOO GOOD!! Everything was seasoned to perfection. Definitely coming here again the next time...
