RiceBurg is my favorite place to get food and has been for months now. This restaurant is located on Washington street in Wellesley,Massachusetts but was originally just a moving food truck. Recently, due to their popularity I’m sure, they opened their restaurant in Wellesley. RiceBurg is an asian style restaurant that offers food such as rice bowls, rice burgers, and more. A rice burger is a unique idea! The bun of the burger is made of rice. How fun and yummy! They also have delicious drinks that are asian styled as well. The boba is my favorite! I’ve only been to this restaurant to eat in person once, but it was lovely. The restaurant setting is modern and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff are extremely friendly. One time I asked what flavor Thai tea was because I like it so much so I was just curious, and the worker was helpful and kind when explaining it to me, although I guess it was common knowledge that thai tea is just a mixture of spices. The boba is made right in front of you.I found that cool and interesting. There aren’t too many tables to eat at, but there are plenty of seats. There’s a white couch I wouldn’t mind sitting at to eat alone, but the tables were nice when I went with my friends. There’s always a place provided to sit if I chose to eat there in person though and that’s what matters as at some places there almost never is a place to sit. It wasn’t loud at all when I ate at the restaurant in person, and that was comfortable and nice. The menu is easy to read and the prices are affordable. As a highschool student with a minimum wage job and budget, the low prices are perfect for me. But, just because the prices are low doesn’t mean the food is low quality as well. The quality of the food is good and it is delicious! My usual order is the scallion pancakes. I’ve tried almost everything else on the menu. Everything I’ve eaten from this restaurant is flavorful and tastes very good. The scallions can sometimes feel and look a bit soggy (or greasy?), but that doesn’t change the goodness of the food for me too much. It tastes like happiness. It is so good! A comparable drink item from this restaurant that tastes like happiness, would have to be the thai milk tea with brown sugar boba. All my experiences with this restaurant have been amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone really.. But especially youth as it is very trendy in my opinion. Riceburg is a restaurant with awfully good food and even better memories that can come out of it. Riceburg is...
Read moreOk so this place is really disappointing and that's unfortunate. Their food truck is good. Their food tastes good, is interesting, and plated nicely. But their service is *terrible *. I've been there twice. The first time they lost my ticket and I'm guessing gave my food to someone else. It took 30 minutes to order a single bowl of rice and steak. Today I went again. All but one of the tables were messy with crumbs and sauces. There were no condiments on our table and the one I tried to get from another was empty. When people came in the cashiers didn't even address them until they said something and didn't know much about the restaurant (they asked if there was dairy free frozen yogurt in the future. One said yes and the other said they didn't know yet. After the guests left the girls joked about how rediculous dairy free ice cream was saying "what would it be made of rice or something"?). I feel terrible for the owners because they deserve staff that will treat customers well enough that they'll want to return for...
Read moreFood was amazing! I adhere to the blood type diet outlined by Dr. D'Adamo and Courtney White in their book, "Eat Right 4 Your Type", and it is hard to find fast food that can fulfill these diet requirements. But this place did it (I think) thanks to the rice buns (for the most part; I didn't ask about the other ingredients but I will be coming back to find out anyway).
Service was wonderful -- always happy to see young, competent ladies working professional services of some sort. Especially because I am an alum, I like to wonder whether these are current Wellesley College students which makes me all the more inclined to continue investing in this food joint.
Atmosphere is nice for the most part, but obviously because of its high quality food and customer service, the place is quite popular and crowded during lunch hours. I think next time I will order it to go and eat in the park or something because the seating is a little too close for my taste.
Will be coming...
