Unfortunately my son was under the weather and we couldn’t go out with the rest of the family to lunch. My mom brought me home a massive surprise tho. I’ve been reviewing lobster rolls for years now on several different accounts. So let’s dive in on this. First the presentation! I thought that they would cut a lobster roll this size up and put it in multiple containers. To my surprise it wasn’t. They take so much pride in their food that they pack it in a nice seafood container. Came with two 1/4 pickles, two chips, two forks, two SILVER plastic knives, and a boat load of napkins. Now for the second best part of a lobster roll. The role, the roll was a warm role so fresh that it tasted like it was just baked and still warm! Wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t, the bread had such good flavor and was so fresh that I would 100% say it was the best bread I’ve had ever in my life. Now for the meat and potatoes or lobster if you will. The lobster was fresh, not fishy at all. It’s like Gilligan and the Skipper themselves never got stranded on that two hour tour! Instead they were lobster fishermen that went to a bakery, got bread made right then and there, cooked those lobsters on the boat and handed it to me on the dock. Impressed is an understatement! When it comes to gimmicks in food like a unnecessarily large lobster roll, they normally are never good as the real thing. This proves it wrong! Get it! Enjoy it! Thank me later! I will be back!!!!!!!!

I can’t say enough good things about the Bull N' Claw! As a regular customer, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing their consistently top-notch food and warm, inviting atmosphere. Every visit has been a treat, whether I’m bringing family, friends, or just stopping by for a great meal on my own. The food here is outstanding! One of the real stars on the menu is their two-foot lobster roll—yes, two feet of fresh, perfectly seasoned lobster on a giant, delicious sub roll! And for the quality and quantity, the price is fantastic. Every bite is packed with flavor, and it’s perfect for sharing… or not! The atmosphere is exactly what you’d want in a family-friendly restaurant. It’s cozy and welcoming, with a touch of rustic charm that makes you feel right at home. Kids and adults alike feel comfortable here, and it’s always a pleasure to see the friendly, attentive staff who make every visit special. Barb, in particular, is a gem—she always has a bright smile, and her attentiveness and kindness make the experience even better. She knows exactly how to make everyone feel valued and ensures that every detail is taken care of. If you’re looking for an amazing meal with wonderful people in a family-friendly environment, Bull N' Claw is the place to be. I’ll be back soon, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!

Saved this place for the last night of our anniversary trip to Kennebunkport. Excited for some prime rib and lobster! I've had prime rib all over the world; cruise ships, local hole in the wall joints, Vegas, NYC... if its on the menu, I'm getting it. This was the worst prime rib I've ever had, and the king crab I paired with it was so over cooked it only filled half the shell. Horrible experience. I never send food back, and normally just eat it. I actually sent my medium prime rib back because it was so well done and so tough I actually couldn't eat it. They sent one back that was better, but still fully cooked well done. I actually wasn't going to say anything, but the waitress asked because I had clearly not even ate any of the first plate. Whats funny, is the second one I ate a few pieces of, but still didn't finish even half of, and she was like "that one was much better huh." There were exactly 2 other guests in the restaurant. I could easily understand if the place was packed, but it was my party of 2, a party of 3, and a party of 2 in the entire restaurant. Simply no excuses. I didn't ask for a manager, didn't ask for a refund or discount, I still left a tip, and just decided to try and help others not share my same experience.

Used to enjoy this restaurant but after a few meh meals lately, this visit was absolutely horrible! First, the waitress spent 15 minutes in conversation with a table that wasn't hers while we waited to order. When we got our meals she never came back to check on us- we had to go find her to try to rectify a problem. The menu insures that all items with an asterisk can be made gluten-free. I ordered the Haddock Florentine (described as haddock, spinach, Swiss, feta, and creamy garlic sauce, with a crumb topping.) I received a small dish with an overcooked piece of haddock on top of a spoonful of what looked like previously frozen spinach and a small melted slice of sandwich swiss. No feta or creamy garlic sauce. No gf bread crumbs. After waiting for the waitress (my partner was able to eat all his steak platter and our waitress never walked back by or checked on us) then having to go find her, I was then told that all menu items marked "able to make gluten free" does not mean substituting with gf products, but just omitting gluten ingredients. I was also told the haddock florentine is made differently than the menu states- just spinach, a slice of swiss, bread crumbs (that they omitted), and canned Alfredo sauce that they forgot to include. They took my plate out back, microwaved my fish without asking- drying it out beyond being edible- and brought it back with a side dish of the Alfredo. Only the mash potatoes were edible at that point, it was now 30 minutes past when my partner had eaten his food, and they never even offered to comp any of the problem when they saw everything else was left uneaten. Lastly, while my partner's steak dish was OK, the side of coleslaw he ordered was rancid. We each tasted it and spit it out. Overall, this restaurant experience was a huge, overpriced disappointed of bad food with extremely poor customer service. After years of being a customer, this will be...

My husband and I eat here when we're in the area and the food is always delicious, service has been lacking. I get everywhere is short staffed so I was never bothered and ALWAYS tip 25% no matter the service. Today was the worst! We both ordered cheese burgers, mine well done his med well, mine was red into the 1st bite. I told the waitress it wasn't well done and her reply was you took a bite. She took my plate and then loudly told the other waitresses there that was nothing wrong with my burger, i kept quiet eventhough she was pointing at me and speaking loudly to the manager.About 10 minutes later she said they're making me a new burger because i took a bite. Ten more minutes goes by I still haven't received my burger, husband was done and we wanted to get back on the road so I asked the waitress to cancel my burger. I tell my husband she's not happy with us and the hostess must have heard me and stops and says to me " so I hear "as she walks by. Manager comes to table and asks me if I want the burger or have it taken off the bill? I want it off the bill and tell her I could hear the waitress bitching about me and what the hostess said. She replied I heard her and will speak to her about that (the waitress). They kept repeating to me you took a bite, of course I took a bite. How could I tell her the burger wasn't well done without a bite? Anyways, I added the 9 dollars to the bill myself eventhough it had been removed from the bill and tipped the waitress 25%. I was non complaining, all I asked was to cancel my burger. She took this very personal and really went off, so the waitress to be so loud in earshot of the other patrons and staff was really unprofessional. Will not return, next time we'll go across the street to The Maine Diner. Sad to lose a customer because of staff being rude to...

All in all we were not impressed. They were short staffed so we gave them a lot of room for error as I understand what that is like in a restaurant. That being said the manager was our waitress and she wasn't just not good as a waitress, she had an attitude about stuff in general. We asked her what the deserts were and she goes "your not gonna do what the other guy did are you?" She then listed them off and we ordered. She goes "good. The other guy made me list them off and then didn't order anything. Just wasted my time." I ordered a baked potato but she put it in wrong and u got mashed... no big deal I ate the mashed potatoes. They tasted like they weren't real, but that may have been the low quality canned gravy. We both ordered prime rib and baked shrimp. It came out and we had prime rib and bake scallops. We told the manager and she went to double check. She came back and said that she had checked and we had ordered the shrimp but she put it in wrong and were we ok with scallops or did we want them to fix it and do the shrimp. We told her we.wanted the shrimp and she seemed annoyed. When it came out the shrimp were rubbery and the stuffing was under the shrimp not on it, and it was burnt down to the pan. We had eaten the rest of our dinner, including the cold Broccoli. We ordered the salad bar as well, which he was pretty good, but the beef barley soup was pretty much broth and the crackers were extremely stale. The pasta salad on the salad bar was WAY overcooked and slimey. Now, since the manager had messed up the order (twice) and we ended up waiting for them to fix it, one would think she would offer to take off a desert or some small thing but nope. Ok, whatever. We payed. We tipped and we learned. Low quality food and not great management. We'll hit Mike's...
