Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Weslaco

The food is always fresh and tasty. It seems like they have a new manager every time i visit and I have yet to see happy employees. Their customer connections are plain if there at all. No smiles or friendliness as if they are not getting paid enough or not coached into creating a customer friendly atmosphere. I think Church's goes through employees like they cook chicken and they are unhappy because they aren't ready to fill the roles they are forced to fill for the same reason.. someone has to do it so they promote people who have not been there long enough to learn the role so they are just plain unhappy and that reflects and rubs off on the rest of the team. Not a good experience: super cold inside, employees walking around with thick jackets on but when we mentioned how cold it is nobody offered to turn a/c down. Food (chicken) wasn't cooked, waiting time 7 min. We said that's fine and waited for it. Covered food (beans, French Fries etc) up with napkins, still got cold in minutes due to temperature inside. Apple Pie for dessert sounded good, so we ordered 2. SAME thing here, 7min waiting time as they make them ONLY when ordered. Customer before us ordered 1 and was told the same thing. I understand certain items take longer to make, and that their excuse is that it's always slow, I ordered a chicken fried steak after waiting 15 min, and being the one there, they still forgot my mash and gravy. I'm doing this review because I'm tired of them not just for the wait but for not having your basic chicken. I decided to go again this time waiting 3 min at the drive thru just to be told to wait longer. After placing my order I'm told they only have chicken legs , so ordered that, then once at the window told they only had chicken thighs.
