Another seafood place to try, a tent was set up in the parking lot for outdoor seating, parking was allowed in the parking lot next door. The website mentioned BYOB and wine is available to purchase, we figured we'll order wine at the place so we did not bring any liquor with us. Called for a reservation for 6:30 and was promptly seated with a choice of indoor or outdoor, we opted for air-conditioned indoor seating. Simple decor, basic tables and linen, clean. We ordered two glasses of wine but unfortunately they were out of it, so we got soda and water instead. I ordered a grilled seafood combo and a Caesar salad, the time it took to get the salad and the food after was reasonable. My Caesar salad was tasty and fresh, so was my friends house salad. My seafood combo came with shrimp, scallops, fillet of sole, rice and veggies in lemon sauce, it was delicious, the shrimp was a bit on the dry side, but didn't mind the flavors. The only odd thing about this restaurant is that it belonged more by the shore. The food I would give five star but the four star rating was more for not having the wine available, and parking confusion. I would suggest just removing the wine availability from the website and keep it as BYOB. I would definitely go back again but this time I'll bring...
Read moreI live about 4 minutes from PF Seafood and decided to try it with my family. Everyone agreed this was without a doubt the worst seafood restaurant we have ever been to. I would not recommend and will not be going back. First the bread they brought out was dry and stale. Second the service was slow and disinterested. Third and most importantly the seafood was not fresh, it was all overcooked, and it was barely seasoned. The food that was seasoned tasted of old stale herbs that accentuated an old refrigerator taste on the food. The sauces were oily and tasteless, the main flavor being copious amounts of garlic. We ordered a whole grilled snapper. It was atrocious, dry and bland and tasted of stale herbs. The platter of seafood was doused in the greasy tasteless sauce and included an edible piece of overcooked sole, dry and off tasting overcooked shrimp, and large scallops that were serviceable. The lobster mac and cheese tasted like it had been sitting around for some time, the neon orange cheese on top was in hard rubber strands and not melted. I didn't taste any lobster notes just a vague scent of it. The chopped salad was decent and...
Read moreReally wanted to like this place but food was mediocre at best, unfortunately would not go back. Unoriginal and just not one thing i ordered that was something i would crave again. I go out a lot and not one restaurant has all their dishes be great so i tend to pick out the best and continue getting that but nothing i got would bring me back. Very disappointing, caldwell seafood is hands over fist better in terms of quality freshness and orginality. Furthermore i truly don't enjoy giving a bad review however it's more to inform the chef to change it up and don't serve bland food or food that isn't fresh or greasy. The octopus was tuff and didn't over a fresh taste, it was loaded with oil and onions and potatoes when it should be with lemon and garlic or parsley. The crab cake had too much filler. The west coast oysters looked and tasted foul. The shrimp were not good quality. The tuna tartar was not fresh, had a very sweet sauce on the bttm and not good at all. Everything was very weird and i feel bad bc the restaurant was empty. They need to change up...
