Chinese food was mid
6.5/10 rice
If you order the rice get it spicy with extra shrimp will definitely add more flavor and will be decent. I think it would be way better with my recommendation the shrimp in the rice was really good. I liked it.
Orange chicken was 6.3/10
Not spicy enough but wasn’t bad. I’ve had much worse at other spots. Taste like any generic orange chicken from any spot
Tacos de asada are a pass for my personal taste but try and see for yourself.
Tacos de camarón 6.6/10 they should use the ones they make there shrimp fried rice with way better taco if they did.
Tacos de pescado 6.4/10
Sauces are solid also the bright orange sauce it’s the spicy one and green is second and the dark red is mild. They complement the tacos de Al pastor.
Now let’s get to the star of the night.
This tacos taste like a Mexican Al pastor from Mexico City or GDL. Closing thing I’ve had to taste like a regular solid taco from CDMX de trompo de Al pastor. The profile taste reminds you of that kind of taco a solid 8.1/10 just for the simple reason they taste like regular taco any spot you might walk into to get a solid taco in CDMX/GDL de trompo. If you had it will remind you of it. If you haven’t try tacos in Mexico don’t give your opinion and bash this spot you have nothing to compare too. Respect the hustle of this place there doing Al pastor right compared to many Chicago spots.
I will definitely be coming back and place is small.

Read moreI ordered a honey mustard chicken lunch special, 2 tacos al pastor and tom yum soup. The staff here are kind and friendly but they are very business-like and they have a lot to do, so like most takeout joints in the neighborhood be respectful of their time and don't come here expecting a long conversation about your kids or small talk over the counter! You could really taste the fresh lime in the tom yum soup and the shrimp in it had a great flavor with no fishy taste or smell. The tacos were tiny but the flavor was good and they were made with fresh pineapple, not the canned variety, so that was a good surprise. They served the tacos with the super spicy peanut salsa so be aware, a little goes a long way. The honey mustard chicken was so sticky and delicious, they used dark meat which was a nice surprise because it was tender and more flavorful than average Chinese takeout chicken. I remember the steamed broccoli in it was also good quality--I just wish there was more of the broccoli too because the texture was perfect and it tasted so good. But I took one star off this review on the whole because they forgot my can of soda with the order. I really liked the crab rangoons that came with my lunch special, other reviewers here have also complimented them. I would like to try a full order next time and you can bet I will eat...
Read moreThis place is the type of place you go for cheap tacos and cheap Asian food, the atmosphere is not that special, the chairs (they have wheels so be careful!) and tables covered by plastic make it a weird experience. Also the taco menu is a paper sheet under the plastic cover, I was all confused looking for the menu.
When I arrived I saw a sign in Spanish saying “if you’re eating here just go inside and grab a table” so I did that and as soon as I sat the waitress told me the table was reserved even though there was no reserve sign or anything. So we moved to the other table and the party (6) supposedly that was coming for that table never came.
After that I was expecting the service not to be good but they definitely improved, they were fast and quick to take our order.
We ordered the classic pastor tacos and asada, and also some lo mein. Honestly the tacos match the price, they’re $2.50 each and on Monday $1 each. Nothing to rave about but they’re tasty.
Overall the experience is basic but good, the food is basic but good too, don’t come with high...
