La Antigua Sportbar and Grill — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I had been wanting to go to this place forever. I finally end up going and didn’t last long. Walked right out when the security grabbed me and pulled me for the most dumbest reason. Mind me my friend had bought two bottles in the vip area and so he comes outside to meet me we pay the entrance and get a wrist band. Didn’t think anything of since it is normal. However, when my friend tried taking to his table this security starts charging him to go back to his table and still wanted me to pay 40 more. (Entry was 60) my friend like wait I got a table how you going to charge me again.He then makes waves us through so I though cuz here my friend has me by the hand and then I feel a tug and he pulls me out like not you! My friend thought I had let go so he keeps walking. When he sees I didn’t follow and stayed behind he told security “ she’s with me” security said she has to pay. I told security I paid entrance and was not told I had an option to also buy VIP no one mentioned it. I figured buying bottles was the ViP and my friend thought the same. I felt embarrassed because he pulled me hard like if I had done something wrong. I honestly was under the impression that I was already VIP or whatever it was. Either way never again. The first security at the door even asked me what’s wrong why you leaving. He was very nice and friendly coming in and out. I didn’t even know what to answer and said I never heard of the group that was there playing. I wasn’t going to pay 100 for them because it wasn’t my type. I hope that when they promote things they be clear about the coverage charge so people dont go in there regretting it. Be clear about the whole buying a bottle gets you a table don’t seat them inside the vip area if they not considered vip either. False...

Showed up on a Sunday night with relatives from out of town. PRO's: I had the Coco Relleno which was very good. It's basically a hollowed out coconut filled with shrimp, octopus, clams and mussels. They do not cheap out on the shrimp. There is just the right amount of the three. My wife had bacon wrapped shrimp. This too was also very good. It came with 6-8 large shrimp. My kids shared a crab leg plate. Now the CON's: They had a live DJ/singer that night. The music was extremely LOUD. The funny thing is that there was no more than 10 customers in the entire restaurant. And the singer did not have a good voice. He was actually pretty bad. Now, if I was going there with my buddies to have beers and sing along like karaoke, that would be okay. But this was just over the top loud. I couldnt catch up with relatives because we couldnt hear each other. The service wasnt bad, just barely good. Probably because we have to scream our order's into the servers ears. I would love to go back and eat there again but I am hesitant because I dont want to scream over my meal. Food very good,...

Never ordering delivery from this place ever again, I ordered Mariscos from this restaurant through UberEats and I got a call from the restaurant shortly after placing my order, to “confirm” certain plates I had ordered. They called me again after I had hung up with them to inform me they did NOT have any shrimp to make my plates. The lady on the phone was very rude and unprofessional, I asked her to cancel out my order since they couldn’t make my plates I had ordered, and she rudely hung up on me. I proceeded to call UberEats so they could cancel my order. UberEats contacted the restaurant to verify that what I said was correct and they had the audacity to tell UberEats that it wasn’t true....that they did have the ingredients to make my plates, therefore I WOULDN’T get a refund since it was already close to being picked up. Worst experience with a restaurant that delivers! Never ever ordering from this raggedy place again! I would give it zero...
