Small Cheval- Logan Square — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I came by for the ice cream. If I wanted a burger I would go down the street to red hot ranch. I noticed they only had 2 ice cream machines. The employees completely threw some cones away cause the ice cream wasn't frozen enough. We waited 15 mins to just get ice cream. I got the gold brick dipped cone which barely had any pecans in it and my husband got the cherry. His cone completely brought about a puddle of melted ice cream on our porch as it seems like it wasn't set enough. Yea I get it was a hot day in Chicago, but we literally a half block away it shouldn't melt that way. The ice cream was ok and not really worth the money. Although I live super close I don't expect to return again. Just burgers and ice cream as an after thought. Small cheval stay in your lane. Small Cheval in Logan Square is such a gem! From the moment we walked in, the cozy vibes and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The cashier, Bryan, went above and beyond with his customer service—friendly, patient, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Make sure you ask for a whiskey sour… light ice. The burger was absolutely incredible—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The fries were just as amazing—crispy, golden, and a perfect pair with the burger (Don’t forget to ask for the cheese on the side for the fries). My son enjoyed every bite and is already asking when we can come back! Between the food, the service, and the atmosphere, this is hands down one of the best burger spots in the city....

First timer here, I ordered a whole meal for 32 dollars cheeseburger deluxe extra pickles, 2 orders of fries, Coke Zero, and the strawberry shake. I tell the server “I’m here for a pick up for XYZ, and the server hands me a shake and walks away, then I ask again her, “ isn’t there more than a shake and then looks around to find my order.
