Seriously such a bummer that this place has fallen off in terms of service and food quality. Lonesome Rose was a place I loved to go to after a beach day last summer, or for a special occasion like my graduation dinner, but after the service I received last night I will not be returning. We were a larger party, 6 to be precise, and when we checked in with the host stand she said it could be 45 to an hour wait. Even though the restaurant looked pretty empty, and we saw a clean open 6 top, we trusted that there was something we didn't know and we waited outside. We realized there was room at the bar so we decided to wait there and order some drinks. My drink was given to me missing 1 of the 3 ingredients, which was told to me as it was handed across the bar to me with the comment "well, it will still be good I promise!". I wish they would have asked me ahead of time because I would have changed my order since I ordered it because of this missing ingredient, and it was not very good. We finally get sat after 30-45 mins of waiting to the 6 top table we saw empty when we had originally come in, which was weird but redeemable as long as the food was good. We got our order in very fast, we were very hungry, and then proceeded to wait 30-45 mins more for the food. Before the food even came out they brought us the check and set it on our table. What if we wanted to order more beverages or dessert? It felt really aggressive, like they wanted us out of there. But the cherry on top of this disappointing experience is that when our food finally came out, it was ice cold. My boyfriends burrito was very very cold and the cheese on top had become a solid. My taco was cold as well as our friends taco bowl. My salad was flavorless and tasted like the gem lettuce was still drenched in water, with what tasted like Doritos on top. It was not good. We asked if we could get our hot items heated up to which we were told no. Our server gave us attitude and finally said that if it's really that cold they could remake it but it was going to take 10 mins. Honestly at that point we weren't willing to roll the dice on another 45 min food wait, so we opted to box our food up and take it home to heat it up. When they brought the check the second time, the burrito was taken off the check which was appreciated, but my salad, taco, and my friends bowl was still inedible and disgusting. Taking the one item off didn't redeem the experience by any means. We all left saying that even though we have loved coming here in the past together, we will not be returning because of such a disappointing dining experience. It honestly ruined our evening as we left hungry and feeling like they never wanted us there in the...

I had a reservation for five of us it was a work outing and it was a good time. It was pretty loud so we had to use our outside voices to hear each other but the lighting was cute. The appetizer was fairly enough for all five of us. We ordered the queso and guacamole the guacamole wassssssss hmmmm it needed more lime and perhaps salt. The queso was fine, could have used a spice in it but I understand that it could be to personal preference but it was good. The chips were fresh! I ordered the nachos that little dish was stuffed to the peaks of mountains, I only got through half of it and the carne asada was so tender and seasoned just right! My coworkers ordered the street corn, it’s a decent size bowl! For one person you’ll definitely get full off of it. And if you order one taco that’s perfect! You’re literally stuffed(that’s what one girl ordered) and the drinks are super charged, not crazy but you can taste it and not question it. I ordered the strawberry margarita, the cup size for the price is a little cray, but the other girls ordered the mezcal margaritas (same size cups) but they said it was too strong lol I think it was probably fine. The fried chicken taco is a tender in tortilla and cabbage or something but all the other ones appeared appetizing. They do take Apple Pay which is perf. They can split it in different ways, the waitress god bless her soul and patience becauseee, girl👀! Let’s just say you can pick apart your ingredients and she didn’t stress 🥲🙃 this place has two entrances, although idk what was happening up front that the doorway was piling up with people…and no hostess. Not sure but we had a good time and we appreciate our waitress 🥰😅 you rock girl! Also not authentic or I should say typical Mexican food. It’s more like a blend of Mexican inspired food and an Asian twist of some sorts. Margaritas start at $15...

The food, the drinks and the service are all top notch. I came here one afternoon to recon for having a large group of friends (20 people) get together for dinner. It's tough to do in that area, but with this place still relatively unknown, the GM was very accommodating! During the recon, I tried a few different tacos and a house margarita. Each one was delicious and stood on it's own for the price of admission - but together - wow! I knew everyone would love it.

For the night of the dinner, I was actually a bit worried about the decor. Since it's open for breakfast and lunch, it strikes a balance of being inviting during the day, but I wasn't sure what that would do for the evening. When we arrived, it was all dimly lit and worked very well for a dinner setting and I was pleasantly surprised! They also have a bar below with a completely different vibe and its very dark, so it help set the mood before we went upstairs for dinner.

I ordered several chips and salsas, guacamole and truck stop nachos and several people commented on how good they all were. The entrees are just as delicious and the carne asada taco with pineapple is literally one of my favorite things ever!

Numerous people commented on how good the drinks are. I didn't stray from the because they're so good, but I did try a few sips of someone's mojito and it was delicious. Later on, I found out the margarita's are all hand squeezed and it shows! Don't let the small stature and amount of ice fool you. When I stopped in for recon, I slammed a margarita down due to it's size and I left with a very noticeable buzz.

I would have confidence ordering anything from this place. I'm not sure how anyone can be...

Food: I ordered the Fried Chicken Taco Bowl. With the exception that I wish the chicken wasn't as hot in temperature as I was hoping, but rather just warm, I thought the difference in textures and flavors in the bowl complimented each other really well. I was able to finish it in one sitting and wasn't over stuffed. I ordered the Chaco Taco as dessert: the horchata ice cream was the perfect compliment with dark chocolate and peanut-pretzel crumble coating. I'd easily order it again without hesitation. I additionally had the Lavender Lemonade 🍋 which was extremely sour which I don't mind personally, however it's lacking in much if any lavender 🪻 flavor. There's a bit of lavender buds on top as garnish but didn't pick up on it's flavor in the lemonade. Friends ordered the following: the Rodrigo Al Pastor bowl was savory and filling. The vegan Truck Nachos were very filling and can be eaten as a meal if not shared as an appetizer. Service: As for service in terms of waitresses, our waitresses popped in randomly here and there but not much attempt at interaction. Good recommendations and conversation from one of the bartenders downstairs at least. Atmosphere: Definitely a restaurant to visit during the day, it's too dimly lit in the evening to enjoy the warm sunset pinks and oranges of the walls. They have a rooftop patio that I would be curious to visit during warmer weather.
