Maybe it’s my own bias, but went here with family on Tuesday the 25th of March. Looking at the menu, pricing wasn’t totally awful, especially considering that we were in Chicago. However, it still felt like a rip-off. In my area, a torta con todo (with everything) is about the same price, but comes with more than just lettuce and tomato… there’s a sign in a window by the cooks that shows extra charges for the littlest things that would normally be included back home. Note, the little sign for extra charges is kind of hard to see as they almost have it covered unless you really looked at it.

What I had: a torta de carne asada “con todo” (asada torta with everything). Taste overall was not bad, but definitely not the greatest. Mediocre at best (5/10). The bread was actually nice and soft with some crunch (7/10). Toppings, I mean there weren’t really any other than the lettuce and tomato which just makes it a pretty tasteless torta (3/10). The salsas they give… extremely tasteless, bland, hardly any seasoning.. the red salsa (known to be a little spicier) was as if they added ketchup that was unstirred - kind of like the watery bit you get from when you first squirt some out. The green salsa was just lacking in taste overall. Both red and green get a 1/10.

Atmosphere gets a 6/10. Not the greatest, but they made do with what space they have.

In conclusion, if you’re hungry enough - sure, make a stop here and have an okay torta at best. Just know that there might be some better options elsewhere. Service was good, and server was attentive. At best, 5/10 for everything we experienced. Personal note, if you’re going to charge for every little thing, at least use the extra amount you’re charging to put a little more into the quality...

DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT......... We are from out of town and was looking for some Mexican food. So we thought from the look of the outside it would OK. Soon you walk in HEAT will hit you in the face. They did have 4 large window A/C and a fan but it wasn’t doing the job the owner should be ashamed. The inside looked okay not terrible but the bathroom looked discussing. The cashier did not greet us when we came in and always looked angry. We placed our order and got horchata to drink. I have never tasted horchata that way before and that’s not a compliment by any means. So we all ended up getting can coke which was nice and cold. We waited a while to get our food not because they was packed there was only one other couple there but because the guy in the picture seemed very lost and really wasn’t sure what he was doing. So some other guy came to the rescue. Then we finally got our food buy the look of it seemed ok most definitely not like the picture. Our rice tasted sour the enchiladas was eatable beans was ok. But for 65+ dollars that was a ripoff so I’m hear you warn you don’t waste your time or money you will be disappointed for sure. I don’t know how they are still in...

Upon arriving 25 minutes after calling in a pick-up order, the woman at counter asked if I was sure I wanted my order and it will be an additional 15 to 20 minutes. Questioning her, I replied. “You said 30 minutes on the phone and we said yes. That’s why I am here.” She got upset and then finally put my order in, after I paid for it. If payment was in an issue, I could have paid it over the phone so that my order would be ready at the time I was quoted. It seemed like she had to ask the cook if he’s okay to cook my long order, despite it being an empty establishment. Cook kept giving me weird looks the entire time I was there. Felt unsafe. Entire...

Tortas Futboleras has some of the best tortas in all of Chicago — no question. Located in Little Village right by the Discount Mall, this place is a true hidden gem. The tortas are absolutely loaded with flavor and packed with a wide variety of meats and toppings. Whether you’re into carne asada, pastor, milanesa, or chorizo, there’s something here for everyone. The portions are huge, the ingredients are fresh, and the soccer-themed menu is a fun and creative touch. It’s a great spot for families or anyone looking to enjoy authentic Mexican comfort food. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area — you won’t be disappointed.

Ordered rice and beans for my baby, I had given my baby a few bites when I got a bad smell. I smelled the rice and it was spoiled!! I feel horrible that I fed my baby this rice. We took it back to the restaurant because we wanted them to know that the rice smelled and had a slimy substance. We let the cashier know, we know it wasn’t her fault, but when the chef heard us talking he gave us dirty looks like he didn’t care. Yes we did get an apology from the cashier and a refund, but check your food before you leave.
