A friend and I came in February for restaurant week, and the overall experience was fantastic.
We both started with the house-flared thick cut bacon. You know, it's bacon so it was good.
After that we both ordered the petit filet. As expected, the meat was cooked perfectly, but what's a little different here is that the seasoning comes on the side so you can make it to your liking. I can't say it's the best steak I have had in Chicago, but it was solid. My friend insisted on getting a side of broccoli, and somehow it was really tasty. Go figure!
Service was also phenomenal. The server came by not just after we took our first bites, but again a little later to make sure things were still good. They were attentive without being annoying.
The desserts were amazing. I expected the chocolate caramel cake to be good, but the banana cream pie was a...
Read moreI've been here probably 50 times. Everything is usually exceptionally terrific. No complaints about the service, atmosphere, drinks or food. I walked in tonight (7.27.2023). I ordered the nachos. (Everything else I've had here is pretty perfect). The nachos were absolutely horrible. It was an unseasoned chicken breast barely cut over stale chips. The cheese, (not nacho cheese), was some unmelted shredded American cheese that was clearly heated up in a microwave.
Again, I've never had a problem with this bar before tonight.
Nacho's -$12 Chicken- $6
So 18 bucks for the worst meal I've had in a long time.
Again! Everything else in this bar has and was perfect.
Please do yourself a favor and never order the nachos.
Slider's are great, fish tacos are great. But I'm never going to order anything else from here ever. It would be a 5 star review if not...

I'm shocked by the 1 start reviews, I loved the atmosphere. I thought the place was decorated really great with a Damask painted wall and an amazing crystal chandelier in the front room. Our server was really nice and chatted with us for a bit which is rare these days.
Beer menu was great, I ordered the first one on the list $5 for a bottle of Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager, brought out with a rocks glass, but that's cool.
The menu looked really good, classic bar appetizers hummus, wings, cheese curds, nachos. They also server brunch, which looks low key but nice. They offer 6 pizzas all for $10, 9 burgers, 6 sandwiches and some salads that can be turned in to wraps.
They have a sidewalk patio and a pool table, I will definitely be back to check...
