This is my first time leaving a review for a restaurant & my experience here was AWFUL! I ordered a veggie taco salad & asked multiple times to make sure. This was also my first time at this restaurant. I am used to orders being messed up when it comes to vegetarian times. I called them on the phone to let them know that my order was incorrect & there was chicken in it. Over the phone, the woman was telling me she put veggie in & it should also be on the receipt (the receipt only said taco salad). I came in to exchange it & repeated what I said on the phone. The older gentleman says, “are you sure?” I’m sorry what? He proceeds to question it a few times! I’ve never had that happen to me before! Tell me why I would drive 10 minutes back to exchange it or lie about it? Then he comes back out with utensils & digs through it to show me I’m wrong. If I am, I’ll be the first to acknowledge it! I told him I ate something & it makes NO SENSE for me to drive back if there was nothing wrong in it. I told him he was being extremely rude & how I’ve never been made to feel like this. The way he was also talking about how he wants to make sure this doesn’t happen again & I agreed with him while also telling him how inconsiderate he was being by assuming I wasn’t telling the truth. I told him he should have started with that part vs. the first thing he said by saying “are you sure…” I couldn’t even get a word in! I’m sorry, but in all these years I’ve never been questioned about meat being in food & treated like this! I’m perfectly fine with having food remade if there is meat in it & know that...

My fiancé and I have been wanting to come to this restaurant for a month now. We finally came tonight for dinner tonight(5/22/16) and the staff was initially very nice. Very fast with the chips and salsa, and water. After looking through the menu, I decided on the burrito combo dinner with pork, and my fiancé ordered the sampler(her tamales and flauta had pork as well.). After eating some rice and beans, I took a bite of my giant burrito. The taste was a little off. The pork as dry and a little hard, but the burrito was INSANELY greasy. Red oils were just flooding out of the burrito. I took another bite just to confirm that the burrito tasted weird, it did. My fiancé said that the pork in her sampler tasted weird as well. The server came later taking my plate and asking if we needed boxes. I explained that both of our dishes had issues with the pork not tasting right. He took both dishes back to the kitchen, spoke to a manager who took off a whopping 2.85 off the bill.... And I was expected to pay over $17.00 for a meal we didn't even eat. Instead of getting into a huge argument in front of families eating in the restaurant with their children, I silently paid my bill, and vowed to never return again. What a joke that I had to pay for a meal that I took 2 bites out of and told the waiter it wasn't good.

Do not go to this place is you want to...

I wish I could rate the food and the service separately. My boyfriend and I order takeout from here every single week. We love the food.

But the lady who takes the phone orders and works the front register is terrible. More than once my order has been wrong. The first time I didn't catch it until we sat down to eat at our house. I checked the receipt and it had been entered incorrectly. This happened again the next week, but I made sure to look before I left the restaurant and had it fixed. Today, I called in an order for pickup and when I arrived, it hadn't even been put in the system and she just kept telling me she didn't have my order. I finally showed her my phone and exactly when I called it in 20 minutes prior to that moment. I then repeated my order and she said "oh yes, I remember". She apparently had listened to me order but didn't bother putting it in for an actual order. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for my food, which she handed to me and said have a good night without having me pay. I still paid because I'm not a dishonest person, but the idea crossed my mind to just leave because this is the third week in a row with issues.

There was a man who used to work that position and had my order practically memorized when I called in and told him my name. He needs...

This weekends new to us restaurant was El Coco Loco Mexican Grill in West Chicago . I had chicken enchiladas with mole. This was some of the best mole sauce I've ever had. Seriously it was so good. Tim had carne asada and it fell apart. You barely had to chew it. George had a steak burrito which he said was very good and Dawn has fish tacos which she also said were really good. The queso fundido was pretty great as well. That mole though. I will definitely go back for that. #newtousrestaurant #timilyeats

We came in over the weekend. It was very busy due to a community event, and it took a long time for our food to come. When it finally did, we all enjoyed it very much. The waitress was very apologetic about the service, which we understood. The food was authentic and the portions were decent. I had two tacos with a side of rice, which was under $10. We will definitely come back if we are in the area.

This restaurant is downtown west Chicago in a beautiful brick building with a large outdoor seating area. The staff was welcoming and the other customers made me feel welcome. I ordered a margarita and it was tasty. For lunch I got Molcajete Tradicional and this was amazing. It was full of beef, chicken and shrimp and a little veggies. For true Mexican food, stop by this place
