The Bunker Bar & Grill — Restaurant in West Chicago

The owners, Allan & Denise, really put everything about themselves into this place. Excellent selection of beers, spirits, and more to satisfy any palate. Simple menu has some really outstanding items to choose from. I personally recommend the Viper Burger. Whether it's just watching the game on their TVs, hanging out with your friends or the locals, trivia, karaoke, or seeing local talent, this is a neighborhood bar that truly is more than just that. Some local bars can seen less inviting to people who just pop in randomly. Not the Bunker. Again, the owners make sure you are welcomed. That’s it!! I’m done with this place. That said I think it is a great spot!! Unfortunately you never know if they are going to be open??? Bar owners, if you say you are open to a certain time, stay open till that time!!!! I see so many places that give the bar tender the authority to close when they want “if” it’s not busy. More often than not it’s owners that are not experienced in the hospitality business and just thought it would be cool to own a bar. Then they wonder why it didn’t succeed?? It didn’t succeed because people will not make the effort to go there if (like I did tonight) it’s a crap shoot if they will be open. Great place, great employees, no reliability on hours...

One of the friendliest bars in the West Suburbs! Family own and operated, Allan and his crew made us feel at home. The place just opened about a month ago yet they have a great selection of beers on tap, and the burgers are to die for. I couldn't stop myself and I ate two of them. You have to try the Benedict! And the one with spicy jalapenos. Did I mention the live music? An awesome band - The Curious Kings - played through the night, engaged the audience, and made our experience perfect.
