Tex-Mex Columbia — Restaurant in West Columbia

This place is in a tiny strip mall, that you would miss if you blinked, but these are the usual places that have great food. The customer service was great. This was my second time having their food and I was not disappointed. They make their tortillas in house so it just added to that authentic Mexican taste, they offer a cucumber lemonade and hibiscus tea which is out of this world. The street tacos and burritos were delicious. However.... I had tiny pieces of hair in my container at the bottom of container underneath my food and didn't see it until I was almost done with my food. Needless to say I couldn't finish eating. It just may be an issue with where they're storing their containers but it has now turned me completely off from eating their again. Which is unfortunate. But if you may not...

I usually don’t have a bad experience here bc I get the same thing every time I come.. steak tostada. This last time I came I asked for taquitos as well. The lady brought out tacos… when I told her it’s not what I wanted she became passive aggressive saying I should’ve called it a dorado and bc I got tostadas she didn’t know I wanted 5 taquitos lol I mean damn what if I wanted to be greedy!! After all I am. Pregnant.. On top of that their Wi-Fi was slow so it was having issues processing payment but she was acting like I had an issue with paying or as if it declined bc of me and she had to wait to give my food. We're graced with an abundance of good Mexican restaurants around Columbia. But, I have a short list of favorites, and Tex Mex Columbia is a new (to me) addition.

I had the enchildas with red mole sauce. They were terrific. I've had mole before, but this was a bit spicier. The overall presentation with queso fresca, red onions and cilantro sprinkled on the top was very nice, as well. My son had a burrito and said it was very good.

It's a small, simple space and appears to be a small family operation. You get a sense the folks there are really invested in what they're doing. I probably would have never found it without Google Maps. I'm posting this review so someone else can find it, too. Definitely worth...
