The Final Door Escape Room Columbia — Attraction in Cayce

When in the Carolinas it’s all about family…. and for this occasion I had a niece with a mile-stone birthday.

For our Auntie-Niece girls day she wanted to try an escape room. In my search I came across The Final Door. They had a few different escape room options listed online with an array of available time slots. I called for clarification on age appropriateness and minimum amount of people required. I received great customer service and all my questions answered, so I booked online.

We headed over, upon arrival (10mins early) we completed the required waivers and waited in the lounge area for our game host to arrive.

Once Noah arrived we went over the house rules (no phones or photos allowed) and then game was started. I picked the BLACKOUT room. I was advised that it would be doable for 2ppl and was appropriate for my newly appointed teenage niece. The game is an hour long, Noah was a great guide, friendly with good energy and provided subtle hints when needed. With multiple rooms and serval task/clues to decipher we had a great time and happy to report that we ESCAPED and took some cute photos at the end.

I can absolutely see why this place is rated 5 stars—I’m so glad I found this place especially with a couple of first-timers in our group! We first visited last week and had such a blast in our room that we immediately asked the game master if another was available—and luckily, there was! We ended up escaping both rooms that day.

We loved it so much, we came back again this week (yes, twice in one week!) and booked the other two rooms. Once again, we had an amazing time and escaped those as well. Every room was so creative and exciting. We truly hope they create more rooms and new games soon, because we don’t want to go anywhere else—this place was an absolute BLAST!

The team here is incredible. Huge shoutout to Dee, who was our game master both times. She’s a true professional, clearly loves what she does, and made our experience unforgettable. She even remembered us from our first visit and made us feel so special. Also want to give a shoutout to Heaven, who was another one of our game masters—she was fabulous and fun to interact with.

This was time and money well spent. We’ll definitely be back as soon as new rooms...

The room was very interactive and fun. I would have given it 5 stars but there was a few things I did not like. First of all our room wasn't cleaned up and redone from the last group. Doors were unlocked that weren't supposed to be and other props unlocked and opened. Which sent us in the completely wrong direction, ruined the surprise of the final room, and wasted a good chunck of our time in the beginning. The lady just came in and told us to start over while she locked the other room back up. I felt like there should have been some sort of compensation for this wether it time or money. But nothing was offered or done. Also, I've never been to an escape room that had no timer. There was no time warnings, nothing. I get there are many rooms involved but they definitely need to figure out how to add that aspect. The host was very good at her character, not so good at hints or helping. Im guessing we just got them on an off day. But for spending $230, I would expect the room to at...
