China Bowl Express & Young Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in West Covina

I came here looking to see if the negative reviews are true. The staff was friendly and helpful. Most of the time people feel like staff is being rude by cutting straight to the point and going quickly, but this is just for time's sake. I didn't feel rushed and their Covid prevention measures were good. I can see how many people say the bbq pork feels dry. It feels a tad dry but not inedible, still better than other places I've had. The noodles are way better than previous places I've had, maybe it's just me but I think this place knocked it out of the park here. It's not Panda Express

My girlfriend and I ordered some food and went to pick it up. The location looked clean so we decided to eat our food there. I ordered beef & broccoli with Orange chicken, chow mein and rice.

The chow mein was pretty good but the beef was a little too rubbery for my taste and the rice had a weird burnt plastic flavor. The orange chicken was a little too mushy as if it was sitting a little too long.

We went based on the reviews this place had and maybe I was expecting a little much. The portion sizes are decent.

I got the two item plate BBQ pork, orange chicken and half and half. First off the barbecue pork was dry although it wasn't bad being for being dry, orange chicken tasted like a frozen Walmart bag of orange chicken the rice had a weird peppery flavor to it, the noodles were great although they were a bit oily, for the price if you're trying to get that Chinese food itch taking care of it's great but I wouldn't come back here, for a great chinese spot I'd recommend tasty goodies in West Covina best value for your buck an...
