Cookieteria by Lovely — Restaurant in West Covina

I visited Cookieteria on July 3rd, and they have nice concha designs and a great selection. However, I’m not sure if it was because I went around 10 a.m., but the atmosphere didn’t feel very welcoming. There was no music playing in the bakery, and although we were greeted when we walked in — which was nice — that was about the only friendly interaction we had with the staff. There wasn’t much engagement with the guests beyond that.

What really disappointed me, though, was how my order was handled. I bought five fresh labubu conchas, and they were packed in a paper bag, stacked on top of each other. I had come from far away because I’d heard a lot of hype about this place, so I asked the cashier if it was possible to put them in a box instead, as I didn’t want them to get ruined. She told me that since they were fresh, they had to go in a bag — and if I really wanted a box, I’d have to pay an extra $2.50. Really? After spending $25 on conchas, they couldn’t provide a box?

I ended up paying for the box anyway because I didn’t want the conchas to get messed up, but that left a bad...

A co-worker told me about Cookieteria. Intrigued, I started following her on Instagram. She makes the most awesome custom made cookies ever. I stopped by her store for Valentine's day cookies. I don't usually carry cash and she doesn't take credit cards BUT I have the pay-pal app on my phone and was able to pay for my order that way! YAY! GO TECHNOLOGY! The cookies were adorable - I bought a Selena and a Chilindrina cookie for work along with some conversation heart cookies for my family. They were DELICIOUS! Not too sweet, not plain. Just perfect. I'll be sure to stop by again. Also, the cookies are hand-decorated that you can preorder in advance for an event. Pricey? I don't think so for one of a kind masterpiece custom made...

I came across this local bakery scrolling through Instagram & Facebook and I finally went today. I purchased a variety of different flavor topping conchas, muffins, cookies, and bolillo. 1st the bakery is very organize and clean. Their customer service is great as the person helping you out is very kind, explains everything, and answers your questions. The conchas are large, soft, and delicious. The cookies are thick, large and taste homemade as well as their muffins. The bolillo is very soft and taste great.
