Visit Date & Time: We visited on Sunday, July 6, 2025, around 1:12 p.m. and dined indoors.
Atmosphere & Seating: Temple Bar Urban Eats has a chill, party-themed vibe that really pops. There are various seating options, and we chose a large wood table that was comfortable and spacious.
Cuisine: Mexican food with flavorful, hearty options
Drinks: My wife enjoyed a Cantaritos served in a whiskey glass, made with El Jimador Reposado Tequila, Squirt, lime, grapefruit, and orange juices, garnished with an orange wedge and Tajín — refreshing and well-balanced. I had a Michelada with Modelo Especial; the spicy, tangy mix was perfect for a hot summer day.
Food: I ordered the "Temple ChiLaquiles" — fresh-cut tortilla chips with cheddar and jack cheeses smothered in green sauce, topped with a sunny side up fried egg, and served with beans and papas with chorizo. The chilaquiles and chorizo with papas were delicious, though the beans could use some improvement as their flavor was off.
My wife had "The Taste of Three," featuring three eggs cooked any style, three strips of bacon, and three sausage links, accompanied by their tasty chorizo and papas.
Our daughter tried "The Grand Chili Burger," which came with crispy, well-seasoned fries. The burger itself was flavorful and satisfying.
Presentation: All dishes and drinks were presented beautifully, enhancing the overall experience.
Overall Impression: Temple Urban offers a lively atmosphere, friendly service, and flavorful Mexican dishes. While the beans could be improved, the quality of the other dishes and drinks makes it a spot worth...

Read moreUnfortunately this bar was so disappointing. As soon as we approached the door someone approaches my husband saying, “you can’t go in with your hat”. They said it nicely, however we walk in and right away they tell us again and this time they weren’t as polite. My husband didn’t mind taking off the hat it was the way they came about it. We were evites of our friend the DJ. Of the that night. As we sit down thinking we’re going to have a good time someone approaches us again and says”you need to take your hat to your car”. At this point my husband was over it. I totally understand policy’s and my husband is a dj as well therefore we know certain rules. But not like this, not cool! We’re from LA so it was quite a drive, but we’re easy going party animals. Trying new bars are always on our bucket list. This bar certainly were not coming back. Atmosphere seemed cool but they kept giving us that look! Sometimes it’s not what’s being said it’s the way you...
