We asked for medium well burgers both burgers were cooked so long that they were burnt on the sides they were not cooked medium well the fries were cooked so long there was no soft metal the waitress was subpar she did not take care of us we had two different orders which both came with french fries she only brought us one of the overcooked french fries we had to ask her for the other ones it took her ten minutes to get them excuse me she did not bring them another waitress did we ask for straws it took them about 15 minutes to get straws the food was not what it once was I went there a few years ago and I had really good food but when we went today it was awful when we ask for boxes to take the chips home it took another 15 minutes just to get a box and it was a third waitress that brought us the Box I will never go back there it is not what it used to be it's a sad place with workers that are lazy and don't do their job not all of them just a few the floor was dirty there were Empty Tables everywhere but they told us to wait because they were so busy they were not busy they were just lazy oh well I guess one more burger place down the hill I will never eat at this place again and I don't suggest anybody else does either when we complained about the burgers they offered us another one we just wanted to leave they didn't say hey how about a voucher or some money back or anything like that they just said oh we'll burn another one for you they didn't say that but you know what I mean the lady was very rude and just for that alone I still left a $3 tip but she didn't even deserve a penny of that I wish I could have gave it to the other girl because she was pretty decent she was a good waitress but she wasn't hours but at least she tried to help but regardless I'm not going back it's just an awful place it was dirty the floor wasn't swept there was stuff on the tables for up to 20 minutes the bus boys or bus girls were not taking care of their sections it...

My boyfriend and I came here for a meal on Sunday January 30th around 6pm and had a burger and sliders. Later that night we suffered horrible symptoms of food poisoning. We are sure it was from their meat because it tasted funny and earlier that day we shared a meal with friends that had no symptoms the only difference is we went to Islands restaurant. We have had horrible symptoms of nausea, diarrhea, vomiting for two days now it has been going on. We have had to stay home from work our symptoms have been so bad, and when further looking at the Yelp two other customers experienced the same thing the same night we went. When I called Islands to report this the supervisor said that the time frame in which we experienced our symptoms are not congruent with food poisoning and had the audacity to say this has NEVER happened at our location, but when looking at Yelp there are reviewers that got food poisoning months before as well. I'm also a healthcare worker and also went to urgent care to get my symptoms check out so I know for sure it was a food borne illness from their uncooked meat. Very upsetting experience, even more upsetting that the supervisor blew it off and said that it's not from their restaurant.
