Westwood Bar — Restaurant in West Deptford Township

I thought that the atmosphere was rather nice here. However, the food was awful. I was served a swordfish steak that came out of a frozen Sam’s Club bag as well as a bowl of seafood chowder that had an awful taste, and left a nasty aftertaste too. The staff were accommodating though. A manager came out to see if we were enjoying ourselves and when she saw the uneaten chowder, she deducted it from the bill for us considering I didn’t like it. The golfing area was extremely clean but I wasn’t there to golf myself. It seemed like more of a good place to go golfing then to eat. I definitely would not recommend this place for people just stopping for a quick bite to eat. The drinks were good but I just wouldn’t order too much of their food. Had a few okay experiences at first after finding out about this place. Sadly this didn't last long as several subsequent visits were mere wasted trips. They will randomly be closed on normal operating days. Tried again and then I was told that they were on a limited menu and even then couldn't accommodate me because they didn't have what I wanted anymore. That was odd as the menu is quite small to begin with. Then we go out back to take a look at the course and the entire time we are looking around at least 25 minutes the chef is out there chain smoking and wiping his sweating forhead with his what appeared to be hand towel. It wasn't what we were expecting, but it wasn't bad. Only a few bar seats, the rest is table seating and outside seating looking over the golf course which is a nice view. Bartenders/Waitstaff we're nice and helpful. Beer selection wasn't expansive but wasn't limited to just the top three domestics either. Food options looked good and I look forward to coming back with the wife to try it. This isn't a location to go for a roaring night out with the fellas but maybe go with the family or a friend or two for some close local food and a...
