I've been getting my sushi at Sakana for years! Since my very first visit, Paul the Owner/Manager, and the rest of the staff, have treated me like family...and as is evidenced by the huge collage of baby pictures behind the register, they have grown quite a large family of loyal customers.

That collage alone illustrates just how much people enjoy this place. I mean, think about it, a customer does not offer a picture of his/her child to be posted on the wall of an establishment he/she has visited just once or twice..

No, these customers have returned over and over and, within that time, have established genuine relationships with the staff.

Everyone in my group ordered sushi rolls. One person asked for her miso soup to be served with her main course, but it came out with the appetizers. She was hesitant to send it back. I ordered the shrimp tempura entrée—the more expensive dinner option—because it’s what I really wanted, and someone else was generously paying. Instead, I received a shrimp tempura roll. Since “shrimp tempura” appears multiple times on the menu, the server should have clarified which one I meant. I was very disappointed but didn’t send it back. In the restaurant's defense I didn't say anything. Another person in our group didn’t enjoy her barbecued boneless ribs, though I didn’t mind them. Because my portion was small, I ended up eating off of everyone else’s plates. Even though the restaurant was nearly empty on a weekday, they seated another party right next to us. It seems like they focus more on takeout and delivery, as there was a steady stream of DoorDash and Uber...

First time back in quite a few months. I remember their food being good and always had good reviews. Today's experience was NOT good. One guy somewhat greeted us when we walked in and continued sitting folding napkins. About 5 mins later a lady appeared and asked if we were picking up and then disappeared for about 5 more minutes. Got our food and headed home. My son's fried chicken tasted like fish, and my general tsos was absolutely gross with this super thick sauce that had a really weird taste. And the chicken was super overcooked and mostly breading so super hard to chew. The only edible part was the white rice. Oh and they charged $2 for a can of soda! We were kinda expecting a small bottle then came out with a can. Not sure if this was just a bad day, but will probably not be back anytime soon especially after spending over $30 for the only thing edible to...
