I want to start out by saying I’ve had some great dinner dates at Fire Creek in the past year. My take out experience on Saturday and lack of response has changed my attitude towards this restaurant. I ordered the Asian Chicken Salad to go around 6:30pm. My boyfriend arrived around 6:50pm and waited for the food at the bar. The bartender must’ve been having a bad day. They were busy. The food runner had two hot plates of food ready for the bartenders customers and called out his name several times to get his attention. Finally, out of frustration the food runner slammed down the plates and walked away. My salad was $17 and my boyfriend tipped the bartender $3 out of takeout etiquette. When I took my salad out of the fridge to eat, I asked my boyfriend if I was missing a container as all I saw was the toppings which were described as “kale, cabbage, brussel sprouts, wontons, fresh cilantro, and seasoned chicken breast”. There was no actual salad or mixed greens. I was quite hungry at this point that I decided to call the restaurant and let me know I only received the toppings for my $17 salad, hoping that I could get them to remake one. Jack, the bartender, answered the phone. I let him know that I only received the toppings and not the actual salad. He challenged me and said that’s how it is. I replied that that isn’t what the menu description states. He provided a curt “sorry.” I asked for a refund for a salad that didn’t actually have any mixed greens. He declined. I asked if I could talk to a manager and he said he was the only one there right now. I followed up online through their contact us page and asked to called back by a manager to provide feedback for my takeout experience. Instead, I received a short email with no signature stating that they checked the with the kitchen and what I received, were the mixed greens the menu is referring to. So, my next question: is the cabbage, brussel sprouts, kale slaw mixed that they refer to as “mixed greens” what the use on the Parmesan chicken or steak salad? I doubt it. I’ll include photos that I sent to the restaurants email of the very sad, tiny portion (because all I got was the toppings) salad that cost $17 and I didn’t even eat. I ordered elsewhere and got 4x the size of salad for less. No response from management thus far. It’s unfortunate to be writing a review like this during Covid, but I’ve given the establishment two opportunities to make it right and they have no interest.
Moral of the story: don’t bother ordering a...
Read moreHello, I wanting to write you to tell you about the legitimately awful experience I had on Thursday the 27th. My girlfriend and I came and ordered some food about 5:30 (sadly missing happy hour) I ordered a hamburger with sweet potato fries and the waiter asked me how I wanted the BBQ hamburger, and I happily replied either medium or medium rare, (I don't remember) thinking I would get a true hamburger. what I got instead was a frozen preformed patty with fake grill marks and obviously cooked to hell. the bun was toasted, but not buttered so it was dry, there was too much BBQ sauce on the burger and the sauce was way too sweet. Nothing about it was fresh or real, I'm really limited on money to go out to eat and this was supposed to be a nice time with my friend. and it was but I could only eat half my burger and my stomach was upset for the rest of the evening. I just can't fathom why you would offer trash fake hamburgers with filler in them when the rest of your menu looks appetizing and delicious. my friend had a very good meal with fish and you perfectly sauteed her summer squash and Zucchini. I'm obviously feeling really upset that I feel like I wasted my money on food I couldn't eat and assumed would be real since I have had many friends tell me how they've enjoyed eating at your restaurant and that was the tipping point to choosing to eat there versus the other restaurants in the area. Not sure how you want to handle this but I'm leaving the ball in your court, thanks for your time. I sent this message to you 2 weeks ago on messenger and I got no response so now I need to post it publicly. Read moreReluctant to write this but we haven’t been this disappointed in a long time. My husband took me here for my birthday based on all the great reviews. We drove an hour to visit. We got the wonton nachos which were ok. Husband got a blackberry lemonade which had a strange after taste. I went to use the restroom, floors were so sticky and one of the two soap dispensers was empty/broken and the second one is nearly following off the wall. All the paper towels were wet sitting on a tray on a counter that had been long over due for repair with water damage around. I am not typically judgey but this made me wonder what the meal would be like. We sat at our table and watched a patron stick his hand in the olives from the bars tray that holds the Lemons and olives on his way out for a few snacks for the road. Probably not a great idea to have that open and exposed so close to the public walking past. Our food came, prime rib was ok but bland. The shrimp skewer was delicious. I ordered the creamed horseradish with it but had to ask for the waitress to correct it when I was given straight horseradish. The creamy horseradish tasted spoiled. Husband got Asiago chicken with mashed potatoes. The potatoes tasted like literally boiled and mashed with no cream, butter or flavor. He said the chicken was good. Server wasn’t bad, she was nice. What’s most disappointing is that we paid over $100 for this meal as a splurge to celebrate. And lastly it’s disappointing that like other reviews I’m sure the restaurant will respond this review with a ‘hey we are so sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your experience, please try us...
