So Tuesday night, my fiancee n I went n ate there around 10pm. Let me start off by saying it wasnt busy at all. There were 3 tables in the whole store when we got there. However, I stood up front dor 10 min waiting 2 be sat. One server was taking an order n one server was talking to a customer with is back to the front door. Just chit chatting away. At some point during the time I stand up there, another customer walks in. He stands beside me for a couple of min, goes to the line, n yells to, i assume, the server that he left his wallet. The manager came out n gets his wallet for him, looks at me, n turns around n walks to the back. That's right she saw me standing there n walked away. She's a blonde, short hair almost to her shoulders, wore a kinda big poofy white sweater thing. Anyways. We finally got seated, our server got (mr chit chatty), us some waters right way, n got our drink order n got it out 2 us n a timely fashion. When we wer ready, we ordered some motz to strt. Now imma pause the story there. Motz take at most 3 1/2 min 2 cook, it took us 10-15 min to even get them. So it was very obvious that theyd been sitting up there n the window for awhile. We ordered our food, took about 20 min to get. A little too long, but I'll give them that one. The food was good. I asked the server about different specialty hot chocolates, he said his fav is a French toast hot chocolate. Omg! Ik it sounds strange, but it was like the best blend of chocolate n pancake syrup ever.
It was very much a give n take there that day. It took us awhile to get our food, but the server kept our drinks full n was super nice.
I just can't get over the fact that I was waiting for 10 min n then the manager saw me n just...
Read moreWhen this location first opened my family and I were very exicted about having an Ihop close to where we live, and since it has been open we have eaten there at least 10x if not more. When it first opened both the service and food were excellent. Over the last few weeks this has quickly changed however, with the last visit taking our trip to a new low. My wife and daughter went there on a Saturday afternoon to meet my parents for my mother's birthday. When we walked in there was no one to greet or take us to a table and we had to wait several minutes before finally being taken to a booth. The restaurant was not busy however it felt very crowded as they sat literally everyone in one area. Any manager with half a clue would never do this. The waitress did not have any idea how to do her job and managed to make each interaction with her awkward and unpleasant. The food was subpar even for pancakes and took far too long to come out. Just when we had all decided that this trip was awful we all looked up as we heard several people clapping. Apparently the waitress had gone, without our permission, and had the other servers get together to come out and clap and march around to "celebrate" my mom's birthday. This ended with a bowl of ice cream with sprinkles and whipped cream being given to my mom. None of us were at all pleased with the interruption and my mother had already had a lengthy conversation with the waitress about how she can't eat any dairy of any kind (they did not have a butter substitute for her toast) and she brings her not one but two dairy items? The only positive thing about our visit was the laugh we can all have about it now, and needless to say we will not...
Read moreWent to see how nice the new IHOP was, only to get a headache from one of the servers whose perfume was way too much and way too strong. Literally made me nauseas. I asked if we could move away from the entrance to the kitchen so she wouldn't be walking by my table anymore and we were kindly moved to a booth by the window by the male host in the front. Service was okay. Our waitress named Heaven was nice at first but didn't really know how to control her emotions in her face so we felt like we were walking on egg shells when asking for things and ordering. Then when we left I tipped $4 on my $13 check, more than 20% if you do the math. My boyfriend tipped exactly 20% which is how it works. As soon as we got to our vehicle we could see her through the restaurant windows (since it gets dark early now) throwing a fit about how much we tipped. Our checks combined were $23 so 20% would be $5. She got $6. If you want to get better than 20% tips control your emotions and work at a fancier place. Definitely not going back. Appreciation to the host up front though who checked in on us and met our needs and even opened the doors for us as we left. He needs a raise. *Wish I knew his name! Food was good, I got the stuffed french toast which comes with 3 topping choices which Heaven forgot to ask me which one I wanted til after she had put in the order but it was also like eating tough bread and hard to cut through with a fork, maybe cooked too long. Everything else was good. Very nice and clean...
