Okay so, I have been a fan of the beer since day 1, looking for a hazy IPA? This is your place!! It's amazing. The food used to be amazing too. Pizza changes every time we go, but I normally don't like leaving negative reviews. So I focus on the positive days, knowing the pizza can be great. We have also had other food items in the past, specifically the meatball sub. When we had it before, it was one of those where your mouth couldn't even fit around it, perfect amount of cheese, FULL long plate.
It was AMAZING! Now... not so much. There was probably one meatball, sliced into pieces. And cold. Additionally, we asked for cherry peppers, were told they would only put them on the side and got SUPER tiny slices of jalapeño. If I was told we would be getting jalepenos, totally fine, but we weren't.
Anyways, long story short, I'm suuuuper bummed they've started to cut corners here. If you choose to be a brewery with food, keep the food good. Your loyal customers will notice and never choose to go again. We can buy a pack of four to go.
Another plate we had was the chicken tenders with fries- (only reason we didn't have pizza was because we had it yesterday and just thought everything would at least be fresh) well... again, worse than at a baseball game. I never think I'm going to be served frozen baseball game tenders at a respectable brewery (but let's be real, a brewery that is more like a restaurant which I LOVE!). So that's all I have for now! I may come for one beer in the future, but unless something happens with the food, I can't imagine the pizzas are good like they used to be with the corners they've cut so far. Again, hate leaving bad reviews but this was unfortunately...
Read moreWe’re still on cloud nine, basking in the glow of the fabulous birthday/anniversary party we recently held in the Barrel Room at New Park Brewing. We continue to get raves and compliments about the day from family and friends, some of whom, literally, said it was the best party they ever attended. TJ and his wonderful staff at NPB were a pleasure to work with, and you will not believe how gorgeous the Barrel Room is. Our photos are so much lovelier because every shot we took in the room has a beautiful background. We were beyond satisfied with the food, which we chose from the catering menu -- chicken, salmon, and short ribs -- absolutely delicious. The beer and wine option we chose was perfect, and the service was outstanding. My husband and I were thrilled with the party, and we cannot thank TJ enough for making the day so special. He was extremely helpful and nice, and so easy to work with all along the way. Staff members Christine and Rebecca were terrific. And the CT Provisions chef is amazing. Everything was just superb, and not only will we be back, we’ll highly recommend New Park Brewing's Barrel Room to others. I'm sure they'll already be getting more business from the folks who attended that day. The attached photo pretty much sums up...
Read moreNew Park Brewery opened to the public in 2017. When we went on Saturday afternoon, the place was packed, no seating was available. The tap room was spacious with plenty of tables; there weren't any seats at the bar, which I liked. There was room to get drinks, but there was a short, quick moving line. There were plenty of tables and seats outside; only downside, it was cold. The parking lot was large and we found parking easily.
They had a wine, cocktail, and draft beer menu; on the draft, aside from beer, they also had cider and barley wine. I really enjoyed the Elmwood Cider, there were two options to choose from, dry and semi-dry; I chose semi dry which had a bit of apple sugar flavor and a little sweeter that the latter. I also had the Cypress Barley wine, it's barrel aged with malt; personally, I did not like that at all, the flavors instantly upset my stomach and made me nauseous.
If you're hungry, they have a food menu as well as a happy hour food and drinks menu. We didn't partake in that because we already had dinner before we got there. It's good to know for next time, because I definitely want to go back. I also liked that it's family friendly. Overall, a great brewery with plenty to options...
