I want to start this review off by saying I think everyone SHOULD go here because the baked goods are delicious and you can taste the care put into them.
This is only my review of the hyped cinnamon rolls that are only available on Saturdays. As someone who has baked and eaten (and LOVES) tons of cinnamon rolls, I was a bit disappointed at the ones I received. I first heard about these a few months ago and heard that they sell out very quickly, so I decided to get up early to try them out. I showed up and there was a line, as was expected. The crew was very nice and it did not take too long to get them.
Onto the rolls, my pros: the tang from the sourdough and lightness of the rolls were really nice, the icing was very delicious
The cons: it was drier than I thought it would be - in reality it ended up tasting like just a sweet roll with icing on top. I feel like for cinnamon rolls you expect a luscious gooey center and gooey spirals, but there was very minimal cinnamon flavor in the ones I received. When you can see and count each individual speck of cinnamon in each layer of the roll, you know that something is up.
Were they still delicious? Yes. Do I still recommend going to get their baked goods? Yes. I just wanted to highlight...
Read moreI was gifted today one of Kevin’s focaccia in Albany, NY. I smelled it, bite it and I wanted to hold onto the delicious, heavenly flavors in mouth forever but I had to swallow it. I checked out his Instagram page and it made all sense; his love that he puts in his bread was talking to me.
I have the outmost respect for artisinal craftsmen in general for what they produce for public out of their gifts and passion. I am grateful that I got to try Kevin and Michael’s focaccia! I can’t wait to get my hands on more of his baked goods!!

If you are reading this review and live closer to him than me living in Albany, NY hurry and get your self some of that focaccia and whatever else he is baking. I drove to Kevin’s store from Albany and I made sure that they are all amazing! We bought two of everything he has baked. I give him 10 out of 10!

Luckily, Small state Provisions is only a few miles away. For starters, they use organic flour which is awesome! Their baked goods are constantly in rotation, which shows the versatility in the bakers.
I grabbed a loaf of sourdough, a pecan cheddar scone, and a berry muffin. When I got home, I used the sourdough for my garlic bread recipe. OMG.... THE BREAD was INCREDIBLE!!!!!
