Food is okay, definitely overrated. The staff and owner's attitude don't help things. They don't apologize, take accountability or appreciate people's patience when it comes to the obvious ignorance they have. The girl who greeted us when we walked in said she was going to be our server. According to her she would be right over, but instead had us wait 10-15 minutes before coming over to grab our drink order. I would get it if it were busy, but we were the only other table there. The table before us already had their drinks and looked like they were just waiting for their food. Took 30 minutes to make 2 pupusas as an appetizer. Over an hour for two baleadas and a Pollo con Tajadas, which the server couldn't even be bothered to bring all to the table together. Brought out the pollo con tajadas, then quite literally took over 5 minutes to bring out one of the baleadas which almost felt like the food wasn't even ready all at the same time (again something that could be resolved with simple and polite communication). Another 10 minutes go by before the second baleada comes out, which is when the server gets annoyed because for several reasons I already don't want the second baleada. We waited too long for the food itself to come out, and the shameless attitude about this contributed. Of course I'm not gonna wanna eat anymore. As we're checking out she has the second baleada I didn't eat still on the bill and didn’t say anything but rather almost had us pay for it. Just pulled up the total waiting for us to pay with our card. I asked to double check the bill and I see the extra $15 tacked on. She doesn't even feel sorry about it. No apologies. No remorse. She just had the owner come over to comp it off. Not even an apology or question from the owner about the experience or anything. No one there seems open to taking criticism. Like I said, I would get it if it were a pretty busy restaurant, especially when we walked in. I would even get it if she were a new server and was still getting the hang of things yet communicated in a more humbled manner. But there was only one table when we got there and then another one that came in waaay after us, which means 3 tables total in the almost two hours it took for them to serve us. 2-3 people picking up takeout in those same two hours. 2-3 servers on while we were there. You're not busy or undertrained enough to be careless and have common courtesy. Being pompous and arrogant is a choice.
Mind you this is only the tip of the iceberg. There's a lot more that’s happened. I've come in before too and had other experiences that contributed to the review, but this was my last straw.
P.S. the “REALITY” of the owner replying less than an hour later and writing as if we ever even had an interaction for her to know anything is hilarious 😂 ma’am, how do you read my review and still choose not to explain how you as a business owner let people sit there for no less than 45 minutes waiting for food like a lot of other 1 star reviews have mentioned on here? Oh, right. In your warped version of it, that “reality” just doesn’t happen to be convenient for you, does it. You tell me. You were in the kitchen just about the entire time. Does it make sense for you to have 1/2 or 1/3 people eat at a table while the others just sit there? You’re right. Most likely not the server’s fault. The problem you just confirmed starts with you. No accountability. No apologies for anything as THE business owner. Cameras? Great! Do yours have an x-ray vision on so you can see how full you assume I got with the “first course”? Please, give me a call when you can show me that and how I “walked in with a very bad mood” on my face, then how I interacted with your server. I can guarantee you it has nothing to do with what she looks like. Nice try tho.
I’m not a therapist either. I don’t expect one in a server, but it seems like you definitely need one considering how you’ve replied to the other one star reviews. Which is why I won’t even bother replying to the rest of the blasphemy you decided to...
Read moreMy friend and I wanted to try some Honduran food after a girls night out which did not occur due to racism. As we entered we received looks and then were ignored. After finding the menu myself we sat down and took a look at the menu and no one approached us to greet us at this point as well. Once we figure out what we wanted I went to the register and asked if we’re supposed to order at the counter and the woman replied that she’ll come to us. Everything we asked for was apparently not available and then she proceeded to offer us a meal with friend chicken or chicken tenders. We decided to leave due to lack of service and disrespect and my friend still thanked them for their time and with a disrespectful mocking tone, the woman replied thank you. This tone was as if there was a relief in us leaving the restaurant with a touch of attitude. This is one of the worst experiences I’ve had while going to a restaurant. My hunger persisted as I had to find and drive...
Read moreThe food was amazing and the portion are large. They have a wide range of Honduras cuisine (we got pollo guisado, carne asada and pastelitos) and i am excited to experience the different dishes and drinks. The food came out fresh and I can't wait to go back for more and try new dishes. The staff is very friendly and can help recommend and explain dishes. The restaurant is beautiful decorated and cute areas that are instagramable. Highly recommend this restaurant. Will be...
