Cappetta's Italian Imports and Pizza — Restaurant in West Haven

As far as alot of my favorite places to eat as for a quick lunch this definitely ranks in my top 10 it's a fantastic deli /Italian eatery and store they offer quite a big menu with awesome homemade pasta and as well as homemade pastas u can buy in thier open bay refrigerators .I like certain things and I usually rank places on hot lunches like chicken parm and how they make em the sauce they use as well as the bread and the freshness of how the sandwich tastes ,I grew up in a house where my step father did 95 percent of all the cooking ,he is a 100 percent Italian and was a fantastic cook growing up and got to taste alot of different Italian American cooking ,with that said this deli /store has some really good fresh tasting pizza and subs I've only been thier a few times and each of those times I wanted to taste the menu as we say and everything I ordered including thier pizza 🍕 is excellent so as there isn't really a place to eat inside ,it's Def better to call ahead and place an order and pick up and find a place near by to stop and monge as my step would say Def a must try place 2 blocks north of the old forest theater that was sadly removed from this earth in any case if u find my reviews full of good info ,and they help u out in anyway pls stop back and give me a like a quick comment and a quick message if would Def make my day if someone likes and shares my reviews. This place is a staple for delis in west haven if u like fresh Italian homemade food and pizza this is a great destination for lunch ,with an incredible menu and fantastic sandwiches this is a must even for like office call in or small parties this food will b a hit. This I guarantee just 2 blocks from the old theater on forest Ave. Head towards congress Ave or the boulevard it's 2 blocks down on the right thier lunch can get busy always best to call ìn or go online to see what specials they have and the selections they have. Definitely a great place to eat I gave it a 5 star rating bc u can tell the definition of fresh and stale ,I gave it a 4 star for service just bc when u went thier was 7 people in front of me ,and a 3 on atmosphere bc there isn't really a place to eat inside ,but otherwise a fantastic array of fresh Italian homemade dishes and sandwiches they also have 2 frozen ,and a fresh made salads and homemade pastas they sell as well as roasted peppers garlic ,anchovies so go support Your Eats ,also if u enjoy my write ups please send me a good share comment ,with that being said get out and enjoy what ct...

After I moved to west haven, this place was the first pizzeria that I order pizza from. It was back in August 2018. I ordered over the phone for delivery. I think it was at least 2 or 3 pies. The pizza arrived cold and my house is about 5 minutes from the store so I didnt order for delivery anymore. I learned its best to pick it up from the store and thats what I’ve done after that. I am writing a review now because their pizza is great, but the quality has really gone downhill. If its the first time I would give them another chance but this isnt. Our pizza has been burnt as shown on the photos (from today) and there were pieces of charcoal stuck to the dough before. (The oven needs to be cleaned more often)

I just let it go before, but it has been happening more and more. I see a review with the same complaint and this is the final time I will order pizza from here. The food is great here but if there are quality issues over and over, I believe its time to move on. I have kept ordering since it was my closest and local pizzeria, but I’ll explore other...
