El Buen Chapin Restaurant — Restaurant in West Haven

Our party of two stopped in this quaint restaurant for dinner. We got the chips and guac (the best and freshest I’ve ever had -look at the color!) and split 2 birria tacos-the meats was so juicy and tender! They were just fabulous and the consume that accompanied it was so good I wanted to drink what was left. I had horchata for the first time which was wonderful-rice milk with almond and cinnamon. We capped off dinner with a shared lava cake which was rich and fudgey and a hot chocolate. I asked about the eloto hot beverage (made with corn!) and it was very tasty but not something I might order again.
