Nancy's Middlesex Tavern — Restaurant in West Middlesex

I'm from Buffalo NY where wings are plentiful and the blue cheese will bring a tear to your eye. I've tried many wings throughout my years of travel but always ended up with a soggy pigeon wing. Well I've finally found an acceptable poultry flapper from the outside of my wing perimeter. I got an order of half medium (traditional "Buffalo" style) and half house choice which was their house sausage (some sort of spicy BBQ). The wings were crispy, a decent size and floating in a basket of steamy sauce (love a saucy wing). Rating this a 5 ⭐ based off of all the out of town wings I've had. I'm in town on business and not many places close that aren't fast food. After pulling up to a little cinderblock building, I meekly asked if they served food. Got my menu, plopped down on a barstool, got a beer and started watching the UT OU game which is ironic because I'm from the Austin area.

Got to gabbing with a random guy at the bar. The bartender was pretty personable, too.

Ordered 10 wings - half hot and half Bayou something (sorry). The Bayou tasted like a spicy bbq and was great. The hot was... hot.

They used to have a great Thursday night bartender, blonde lady in her 40’s maybe, don’t remember her name, very nice though. Within the past couple of months they replaced her with this younger miserable brunette that brings in the wrong crowd. Supposedly she worked at GCL, that’s probably a better fit for her. I just am used to bartenders that have a welcoming personality and don’t seem miserable all the time. Maybe I’m asking...
