The Potato Patch is a Pittsburgh institution and probably the most popular food stand at Kennywood. The fries -The only thing sold here aside from drinks -are legendary. One complaint the menu did not list 'gravy' as a topping option. But after the 45-60 minute wait in line when I reached the counter and ordered cheese fries, I saw the gravy bin. 😒 If gravy was stated on the menu I would have knew it was available instead of seeing it after I placed an order. If you are a "Kennywood Kid", a good ole' yinzer, or a famished park goer, The Potato Patch will not disappoint. It will feel both hunger and nostalgia cravings.

Getting better! For the first time, the fries looked edible. I will swear this is because the oil had a chance to reach the proper temperature during the heavy downpour that chased everyone indoors for an hour. In the past, the fries have been a greasy, undercooked lump. Then some people cover them with cheese out of a can! I never understood. But then after the storm last week, I saw that the fries looked GREAT. See photos.

We ordered their cheese fries with bacon, and it was really delicious. The fries were flavorful even though they were oily. The bacon bits were really good, and so was the amount of that melty cheese. One order is good for 2 to 3 people depending on how hungry you are. I think it's worth the price. However, we thought that some of the fries were pretty burnt in taste.

I Don't understand why I cannot receive a box to hold my loaded Potatoes Patch French fries. Without purchasing a second order!!! I'm not paying for box to hold my Loaded fries to spill all over the place also a side of cheese. And my drink I was going to purchase. This is what I was told my a girl employee On Sunday June 25th at 2pm. Never ever before have I had a problem since kennywood opened this year to receivea box to hold my fries. Until today she said no cardboard box without purchasing two fries! Well, I said you can keep those fries then and everything else! So ridiculous and upsetting!! I'm paying enough for every...

Potato patch is a great place if you enjoy french fries! They have french fries that you can just get plain, you can add salt or malted vinegar that is over to the side. They also have French fries that you can get with cheese. You can also get gravy with your fries. You can get these toppings on the side but they also have bacon that you can get on top of your cheese fries which is phenomenal! Plenty of registers. There's outside seating for you to enjoy your fries, there's some seating with umbrellas and some standing in the sun and you can also get fountain drinks at this location. Great prices for the amount of fries...
