Racer — Attraction in West Mifflin

It's the "ONLY" Roller Coaster that My Lovely Wife would ride. We did RIDE IT TOGETHER & We WON the "RACE". It is a SUPEBLY BUILT WOODEN COASTER & it rides VERY SMOOTHLY. It was the 1st Coaster that I ever rode as a KID. KENNYWOOD PARK always had the "BEST ROLLER COASTERS" in the Country. The "THUNDERBOLT", The "EXTERMINATOR", The "JACK RABBIT", & The "PHANTOMS REVENGE" Among other SUPER COASTERS, Are STILL some of the MOST POPULAR ATTRACTIONS at "KENNYWOOD PARK". But, MY All-Time FAVORITE COASTER still remains to be The "RACER". Hearing the CLANGING of the TRACKS & the EXCITED CHEERING of the RIDERS as we CLIMBED up to the top of the LONG HILL. This is another one of Kennywood's classics. This old fashioned wooden coasters is one of only a few Mobiüs loop coasters in the world. This means you re-enter the station on a different side than you departed. You also "race" the other side going through the same path as you.

This ride is a beauty from the station down to the mountain of burgundy track you dive in and out of. The coaster has a great social aspect with riders making canoe-ing motions on the lift, light trash talk as they race and the famous high face on a slow turn around.

What a great old-fashioned wooden roller coaster! Racer at Kennywood is a Mobius loop meaning you race on one track let's say the left track and then when you're done you end up on the right track. Because of the Mobius loop you have to ride this twice once on the left track once on the right track to be able to get the full count.
