Giant Eagle Supermarket — Local services in West Mifflin

I practically live at this store, that's how often I shop at this particular store. Stopped in to purchase some breakfast items. I went to pay for my items and usually if there's a lesser amount on my card, it will still pull the remainder off ..not sure what the cashier did but it came back insufficient which was not right....so instead of trying to stand there and go back and forth because there's other people waiting to pay for their things, I asked for whatever was taken off to be returned and that was like pulling teeth..I started to walk out without my items and money and another customer in the store was so nice and paid it forward and paid the little $13 I owed.im forever thankful for that customer but the cashier's???.....I'm disappointed because they see me ALL THE TIME and they started to make me feel as if I came in there to rip them off....when I asked them to cancel the transaction or to just return whatever was taken off my card they have just done exactly that instead of making it more embarrassing that it already was....will not be shopping at this location again, and it's right across the street...

I stopped shopping at this store years ago because there were better Giant Eagles to shop at and my son had fruit flies from produce he bought at this store. I regret going into this store last week because it was "easier" to grab 1/2 gal of milk and bananas for my grandson. I was out of fresh fruit. That was a HUGE mistake. I also bought 3 nectarines and 3 peaches with the bananas. What did I get within 24 hours of bringing the fruit into my house? Fruit flies. Dozens and dozens of them. I will never, ever buy a damn thing from this store ever again. Fruit flies are because of dirty conditions in the store. I am mad at myself for going into this store and giving them a second chance but I am even madder at this damn store for causing my Fruit fly problem. I buy produce at other stores and I never, ever have had...

I give a 4 star to the store since they redid the store. However, since they have taken on Rite Aid they suck. I have tried to be patient and understanding but waiting over an hour and half on the phone just to be hung up on enough is enough and not the first time. My doctors want the pharmacy to call for refills but they don't seem to have the time and it's a back and fourth game and next thing you know going without medications because now you have to wait days for them to come in. Can't win. It's not like Giant Eagle didn't see the overload coming when they chose to take on the extra, but didn't prepare for it. I don't blame the employees I blame higher up. ...
