We just came here for brunch and it was great. Firstly, the staff are very warm, welcoming, and attentive. We felt very well taken care of. We ordered, from best to least best:
The French toast: truly the star of the show. The tart berry compote + the sweet mascarpone cream = wow. My only tiny critique would be that I wish the brioche had been soaked in the custard a little bit longer before cooking, but it was still very very good. If you don’t order it, you’re missing out. Parker omelette (cheese only + side of avocado): the omelette was super fluffy, and had the perfect amount of cheese inside. The sourdough toast was really good, and the side salad was simply dressed and complimented the omelette well. Truffle tater tots: these were given to us on the house! Crispy/crunchy on the outside and moist inside. They’re light on the truffle, but if you’re not a big truffle fan, it’s perfect. They were slightly oily, but still tasty. Blueberry lemonade: almost tied for #3. It was strong, not too sweet, and had plenty of blueberry flavor. Super refreshing, especially if you sit outside like we did. Captain’s breakfast: all of the elements were individually good, but together quite dry. There were fries and toast included, which felt a bit unnecessary, and the eggs which were meant to be sunny side up were fully cooked. They should consider making this a potato/chorizo hash with softer eggs instead. Iced matcha: it can be tricky to get right, especially if you’re not using the right kind. It tasted as though they were using culinary matcha vs. ceremonial, so there wasn’t much flavor at all. I asked for a bit of vanilla syrup in mine so it mostly just tasted like milk with vanilla syrup.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place. It’s still relatively new and I’m sure they’re constantly tweaking the menu, so I’m sure it’ll only get better from here. I’ll definitely be back soon to try...

Read moreCute small shop, it echoes a bit inside so when music is louder it can be hard to converse. The food was alright a bit under seasoned and the avocado toast was very simply prepared, slab of bread with sliced avocado and a few cherry tomatoes sliced on top with a handful of mixed salad greens. Very little in the way of salt or sour notes to balance it out. Only a smattering of ricotta spread on top and the onions were forgotten. The coffee drinks are very milky, felt it basically was coffee flavored milk. Macchiato felt like a mini cappuccino where it should be a espresso with just a spot of steamed milk hence the name. The prices felt high for the area preperarion of food. Food felt more presentation orientated rather than flavor. Service was slow but I count that as a positive. Food takes some time to come out, so expect to wait, again this is a positive to me as I expect to linger for a bit when eating out..
The ricotta on avocado I don't really understand, both are bland fats.the ricotta was clearly a typical bland American cows milk style. If it were a traditional sheep's milk ricotta I could see some added flavor. I feel a sour cheese would work better but again you are just adding fat to fat. I think it would be served better by adding something pickled. Personally a caramelized onion jam with some quick pickled cherry tomatoes added to the avocado would have been a much tastier bite. Also the greens would benefit from a very light dressing, just a tiny amount of lemon, lime or vinegar with salt. The avocado is fatty enough that no oil is needed. The avocado toast really bugged me, so bland and fatty where it could be a much more enjoyable...
