I normally do not write negative reviews, but my recent experience here left me feeling quite disappointed, especially given the high expectations and reviews.
We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation, only to be met with a rather snarky “We’ll seat you closer to your time.” Should I have waited outside until the exact minute of our reservation? There was no explanation, just a dismissive tone and I don't understand the point of the comment. When we were finally seated, we were placed at a table uncomfortably close to another, despite the rest of the restaurant being mostly empty. The reservation system also doesn’t allow you to specify indoor dining, unlike most places. As a result, we were seated on the patio. While they did have heaters, a noticeable draft made the experience uncomfortable in the 50-degree weather. I get cold easily, so had I known this, I might have chosen differently. We asked to move, but there was no flexibility.
The service, while very polite, felt exceptionally rushed. It was clear they wanted to turn the table quickly. Appetizers came out fast, which was fine, but as I finished my last bite, the entrees arrived. Dishes were whisked away immediately after the last forkful, and dessert menus were dropped before we’d even finished our wine. We started and finished our meal in 45 minutes, which felt less like a dinner and more like a race. This was also my husband’s birthday, which I’d mentioned during an email conversation prior, (they reached out to me first regarding it because they saw the notation on Open Table). However, when it came time, it was entirely overlooked. I could have said something but by that time I already felt like I had to go. (And just to note, I wasn't expecting a complimentary dessert).
As for the food, there were definitely some highlights. The Pink Steak Roll and roasted oysters were exceptional, and I enjoyed the vegetable Wellington. However, my husband found his risotto excessively salty, which left him disappointed but others may enjoy it. It is a matter of taste.
I did express my frustration to the general manager on our way out—not to be comped or a free meal in the future—but as constructive feedback.. Whether you are spending $5 or $500 every customer should feel like they matter.
We spent $250, and while some of the dishes impressed us, the rushed service and lack of attention to detail left us feeling like our patronage...
Read moreOmg I was sooo skeptical of this place because of all the bad reviews. And I’m a huge foodie and very judgmental when it comes to food. I’m from Atlanta and I think we have some of the best food there and palm beach definitely lacks in that area. In fact my husband didn’t even want to go because the reviews were so bad! And I said let’s just try it because a friend of ours wanted to go. We were blown away! I don’t know how they have so many bad reviews honestly because this is my favorite place in west palm beach now! My husband even said hands down favorite place in west palm beach and palm beach! We ordered beef tartar, pink steak roll, two step tuna roll, crispy rock shrimp, coconut lobster bisque, prime ribeye with Rossini(make sure you get that added), sweet potato gratin. I would order it all again and again! My absolute favorite coconut lobster bisque just absolutely amazing. It’s ranks as good as river house lobster bisque but pink steak has a twist using heart of palm. So good! The two step tuna roll was my favorite. Best sushi in west palm beach for sure! My husband doesn’t even like sweet potato and loved the gratin! The ribeye I was most worried about because of all the bad reviews. We had nothing to worry about because it was cooked to perfection! Maybe people were ordering it cooked wrong, you should order medium with this cut of steak. And it comes out more medium rare. It was the best steak I’ve had since moving here. And it ranked with some of the best steakhouses in Atlanta! That’s saying something!
The atmosphere was great! Definitely louder side so don’t expect a quiet dinner. Think 70s disco palm beach meets fine dining. They had a saxophone player towards the end. But he was like an electric saxophone player. We really enjoyed it! The decor is an influencers dream lol it’s so over the top and just gorgeous!
I was very impressed with the staff and just how many staff they had. It definitely made the experience better. I feel like a lot of places lack staff in the palm beach area and sometimes makes the services not as good.
I will say there are only two stalls in the women’s bathroom and this place is busy!! So the line can be longer.
Overall it was a great experience! I can’t...
Read moreMy family and I had meticulously planned my aunt's birthday dinner for last night at your restaurant, hoping to create a memorable and joyous occasion. However, our experience fell significantly short of expectations, and I feel compelled to share our disappointment. While I understand that individual experiences can vary and not everyone may agree with my assessment, I feel it's important to highlight the issues we encountered, especially considering I've observed exceptional service from other waiters and waitresses within your establishment on previous occasions. I'm a frequent patron of fine dining establishments and I was truly looking forward to enjoying a special evening at your restaurant. Unfortunately, the customer service we received was far from what I've come to expect. Our waiters seemed tentative and lacked the attentiveness one anticipates from a reputable restaurant. Not only did we have to wait a considerable amount of time for our food to arrive, but throughout the entire evening, our waiter never once inquired if we needed anything else or simply checked in to ensure we were enjoying our meal. The lack of mindful attention to our table was particularly disheartening. Unlike other tables where I witnessed staff proactively offering assistance and anticipating needs, our table felt largely ignored. The waiters weren't engaging, helpful, or eager to make our evening better, something that added to the disappointment. Beyond the aesthetic appeal of the restaurant, which I admit is quite charming, the overall customer service experience was severely lacking. The attentive service that often elevates a dining experience and justifies the higher prices simply wasn't present. Essentially, the combination of slow service and inattentive staff resulted in a birthday dinner that was far from pleasant and left us feeling underwhelmed and somewhat forgotten. It was a stark contrast to the celebratory atmosphere we had hoped for and ultimately detracted from what should have been a special occasion...
