Griot Caribbean Plus — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

I live in Gainesville where there is no haitian food. So whenever i come to west palm to see my brother i stop by and pic up at least $50.00 worth of food. The menu stated the Taso was 7.00 for a half and 10.00 for a full. After placing 6 orders and having the server get the order confused on 4 occasions which caused us to stay there for an extended time. The server charged me 15 dollars for the Taso. The server claimed that the price on the menu is wrong and i had to pay 15 dollars if i wanted my food. All the while the server that dealt with me had an extreamly nasty attitude. She could not speak full english but continued to give nasty responses in creole stating that she didnt care and at one point took her apron off and walked out. Although the food is good customer service sucks. Haitians are well known for their hospitality and great food. This establishment is an embarrassment to the haitian community. Even in the slums of Haiti people are not as rude and disrespectful in a buisness establishment. If your looking to go somewhere good to eat and invest in a good buisness in a community...

Very much dissatisfied. I called over the phone to place my order thinking it would maybe take some time , the lady told me 10mins and I arrived in 6 mins (it was my first time there, so I was using my gps) , I was greeted when I walked thru the door, after I paid the lady behind the counter then walked to the back and I was just standing there I thought maybe she was going to get my food until after a few minutes, another lady walked out and handed me a plate that was sitting behind the counter. I thought to myself if my food was already ready why didn’t the First Lady just hand it to me smh, I was also missing plantains , when I placed the order I told her black rice and plantains as my side, she asked if I wanted EXTRA PLANTAINS I said no , I’m not too sure but I thought plantains came with the meal (I guess not). Then the salad that came with the meal was brown I love salad and actually wanted to eat it instead I had to trash it. Food is pretty good not the absolute best Hatian food but it is good they major problem is service they are so slow even if you call ahead like come on that’s just ridiculous that’s reason I stopped eating here tried to give another chance but same they just need to do better and plus sometimes food is not that great it’s a hit or miss with them don’t like that regarding my food UPDATE: Double back on this place today 8/31 haven’t been in years really and they still trash af lol well mid as hell. I came cause I was beat from work really didn’t feel like driving to far. But I wish I did I ordered turkey and it was dry af damn near burnt they make THAT kind of hatian food unless you getting griot I would recommend being drunk when you eat here. And it was such a disappointment because the hatian place in 45th plaza turkey was so delicious, moist, flavorful even had spice.
