I adore Indian food, and I have tried most every Indian restaurant from Miami to West Palm Beach. That is, until I happened upon Taste of India on Okeechobee Road, there I found the absolute best restaurant, ever! Not only the best Indian restaurant, but the best overall restaurant! It isn't a huge place, but they do a very good business in the restaurant and a steady flow of take-out customers! When I first tried it, I went to the weekend buffet. I got to try a bunch of delicious dishes. It is kept filled and fresh. I loved it. Now they have a lunch buffet every day, except Monday, when the restaurant is closed.
I always feel so much at home at Taste of India! The Owner/Chef Sudahkar is so very personable, friendly and always very concerned that your dining experience is exactly what you are hoping for! He checks in on his guests, and sometimes brings them samples of a favorite treat. His lovely wife, Monjula, is very nice, too. I have been a regular at different restaurants across South Florida, but I have never felt so welcomed and appreciated as when I dine at the fabulous Taste of India!
The staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable. They are always willing to adjust the spice level, or even the ingredients, if what you like is on-hand in the kitchen. I like Mushroom Saag, but it wasn't on their menu, so I asked about it and they had mushrooms in the kitchen so they agreed to make it! It was the best Mushroom Saag I ever had!
They have SO MANY wonderful selections on the menu, too! I love the Vegetable Pakora as a delicious appetizer! They have eleven different breads, I love the Naan, Garlic Naan, and for a special treat, I love the Pashawari Naan which is stuffed with Raisins, Nuts, and Cheese (so tasty!) The Tandoori Chicken can be ordered as a full order or a half order, served sizzling with Grilled Veggies, and a side of Dal (Lentils) that are so good! The Mixed Grill, is another great choice. It has Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Hariyali, Lamb Rack, Malai Kabab & Tandoori Shrimp also served sizzling, and you get a lot. Chicken Chutney Wala and Chicken Saag, and Chilli Chicken are just a few more of the great chicken selections!
They also have eleven Lamb dishes, six Seafood selections, sixteen Vegetable Dishes, Biriyanis, Specials, Indian Drinks and Desserts! I love the Masala Tea!

Title: A Flavorful Journey Through Indian Cuisine
I recently had the pleasure of exploring Indian food, and I can confidently say it’s an unforgettable culinary experience. From the rich and creamy textures of butter chicken to the fragrant and bold spices of biryani, every dish was a new adventure for my taste buds.
The variety in Indian cuisine is truly remarkable. The balance of flavors—spicy, tangy, sweet, and savory—creates a symphony of tastes that never gets dull. The use of aromatic spices like cumin, coriander, turmeric, and garam masala adds complexity to every bite, making each dish a masterpiece.
I particularly loved the diversity in options, whether you're a fan of chicken fried rice, chicken chettinad, mutton chukka, lamb vindalooo and vegetarian dishes like palak paneer and dal makhani, or craving something meaty like lamb rogan josh or tandoori chicken. The naan and rice complement the dishes perfectly, and the chutneys and raitas provide a refreshing balance to the heat.
Not to mention, the warmth and hospitality often associated with Indian dining only enhance the experience. Whether at a local restaurant or homemade, Indian food is about more than just eating—it's about embracing culture and tradition in every bite.
If you're a fan of bold flavors and unique ingredients, Indian food should definitely be on your...
