My friend and I meet once a week for coffee at Starbucks on Palm Beach Lakes, but it is closed for remodeling so we came to this one on Okeechobee for the last few weeks. Staff is friendly enough, however the store is gross. Every time we have gone: garage cans overflowing inside and outside onto the floor, bathrooms are filthy with pee all over seat and no one seems to clean the sink or floor ever, tables are sticky or have food crumbs all over them both inside and outside, and for a while there were bees everywhere inside the store that staff said were coming in from drive thru. At least half the time, the drink order is wrong.
Yesterday a 76 year old man with a cane fell on a pool of water in front of the pick up counter and NOT ONE employee stopped to see if he was ok or needed assistance. The man was deaf, lied on the floor alone crying before customers stepped up to go help him. I called ambulance because it looked like he broken his foot. The staff continued to make coffee like robots, no one stopping to get assistance until we went to counter and asked for ice, napkins to stop his bleeding, and a manager to assist us. The "manager" was a child, young maybe late teens or early 20's? She had been there making coffee like a robot the whole time and finally stopped once I demanded to speak to someone in charge and her response to the big pile of water on the floor was: "Well, the customers bring water in on their shoes so there isn't really anything we an do now but clean it up". Another staff member mopped the floor and they finally put up a Wet Floor sign. After the man refused to go to ER, he still couldn't walk or drive as he had hurt his right foot. I ended up taking him to the ER for Xrays. He indicated he was in pain and didn't want to leave his car unattended and was scared and that's why he didn't want to go in ambulance. He never did get what he had ordered and only had a cup of water.
The staff acted the whole time as if we were inconveniencing them to get the ice and the napkins and paper so we could try to communicate with him before EMS arrived. None of them would stop making coffee or looking busy without really seeming to do anything. Again in all this madness, the garbage was overflowing onto the floor right next to where he had fallen and at least three of the table we tried to sit at were sticky and dirty when we first arrived. This place is a mess being run by people who have no business being in a supervisor position.
This review won't matter and everyone is going to get their coffee at the closest Starbucks, but I think it is important to hold people accountable for customer service and especially store cleanliness and safety issues. Worker at Starbucks want so much money to make coffee and unions, but fail to realize that they also need to be doing their fair share of customer service and store cleaning to ensure a safe environment. "More money and less work" seems to be the motto lately at this Starbucks. The whole experience and lack of cleanliness at this location has turned me off Starbucks all together. Staff can only do as much as management supports them to do and there seems to be no leadership in this...
Read moreI normally donât say anything and I hate leaving batter views because one bad experience doesnât have to equal a bad review. Unfortunately I have had too many bad experiences at the Okeechobee and Skees location in West Palm Beach. I frequent Starbucks, I had the current mobile account I am using for over 3 years. I order 6-12 drinks from Starbucks a week so I know how things should run. I get computer error and such issues, but thatâs not the case here. Itâs just mismanagement. Today they actually admitted to me they just werenât paying attention to the order screen. My order was set for pickup at 16:02 on May 22. Around 16:04 I arrived and no order ready so I stood by for a couple minutes and finally asked what was going on as I was watching tons of orders being made that werenât mine. Finally they got to the screen and notice they missed my order. Eventually my order was put down (everyone elseâs name was called out but mine) I again ask and the barista found my drink which she then realized wasnât even what I ordered. I was given a green tea when I asked for passion tango. At this point it is now 16: 15 I at that point had no choice but to take what I was given as I was running late. As I mentioned previously this isnât the first time I have had to wait 10+ minutes past my...
Read moreI ordered a Venti Iced brown sugar oatmilk shaken expresso , NO ICE. Not my first time ordering this drink before. When I get to the store cup itâs basically empty , I asked the Barista and she mentioned it was because it said no ice and that drink is based on ice . I mentioned that I gotten it before from different Starbucks locations and this is not the way they have make it . She wanted to be slick and say well I know other Starbucks make it like that but we donât because itâs based on ice . I asked for it to be fix and she mentioned you want ice on it , I said sure if that how u said does how u make it. Well this is the results in the picture of before and after . Itâs not nice having to drink a coffe that taste like coffee and water and when ur done itâs all ice . I had left the store , but then am like am not leaving it like that because I order every single morning my Starbucks and I spoked to angelica she was very kind and mentioned to some back tomorrow itâs on them. By the way the order girl very rude ( dark brown hair , looks latin, short , doesnât even look at ur face...
