First impressions The place is clean! Decor is cute. The staff is super young. Clearly a few first jobbers working here.
I ordered the beef/lamb great Greek gyro with feta fries and a traditional gyro with regular fries. The girl that took my order was kind of loud a wee bit snappy she talked before and during while I was ordering. Almost as if she had a huge line and she needed to hurry and take my order but I was the only one there. Pricey for Greek food. They charge quite a bit for extra Tzatziki sauce. Which I ordered because I read in their reviews they are light on their sauce.
Got home opened it up …. The feta fries looked amazing!!!! They tasted good but not as good as they looked. Helpful tip if you are ordering the feta fries you should dine in the restaurant. Not as good once they cool. They traditional gyro was kinda small compared to the great Greek gyro which was huge!!! 😁 both were very tasty. I was very happy they put feta on their gyro. BUT even after I ordered and paid for extra tzatziki there looked like there was a lot but once I opened the wrapper I was sad to see they only put it on half of the gyros. It was NOT EXTRA SAUCE . So order an extra side on top of extra if you actually want to taste the tzatziki🥺 The rice pudding was very good.
All Greek restaurants are graded on their tzatziki and theirs was very good just not much of it. So I have mixed emotions about this place. Sadly For the price vs food I will probably just go to the Greek place...
Read moreWe thought that they had been open for a few days and visited, learning that it had been the first day we tempered our expectations as to be reasonable. I will break down the three things below, service, food, and success chance.
Service wise they were on top of there game, even when learning a new menu and new people they were all friendly. Answered questions that either if us had and were patient. They were wearing masks and gloves thus showing a clean restaurant. They were quick and efficent from start to finish and made sure that you had little wait.
Food was a good point as we tried several things, myself I got a beef and lamb gyro and my mother just the beef both the great greek version. Both were filled nicely, and fresh toppings. They were hot and made by someone who took great pride in making them. I also tried the Feta Fries, which were excellent and tasty. My mother tried one of there decerts and said that it was very good as well.
Chances of success? while they have several restaurants near by, which are excellent None are greek and each has very good food. They have a winning combo there, and it shows with the service and the food. We cannot wait to go...
Read moreWould have given 3 stars had it not been for the awesome service and conversation provided to us by our new Haitian friend (sorry I don't remember his name). He took our order and explained the menu items we had questions about. He greeted us with his lovely smile and personality. As we were waiting for our food and were at the soda dispenser getting our drinks he came over to us to chat with us. He introduced himself and we found that we had a common bond.... We were also migrants from the Caribbean! It was great to speak with him for that little while before he had to get back to the counter to assist customers that came in. Here's the reason for my opening statement: Our burgers were Too Well Done ! We were really looking forward to this Greek twist on the traditional burger but were disappointed. I also thought that the patty would have been made from scratch but that didn't seem to be. The patties we got seemed to have been pre-formed and just taken out of a bag or box and cooked on the griddle. Our feta cheese topped fries were cold and rubberized by the melted feta. The restaurant overall was clean and orderly. Would we go back? The verdict...
