Tucked away behind lush hedges and cobalt-hued shutters, The Blue Door in Palm Beach isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a passport. From the moment you step onto their outdoor terrace, the world slows down. Whitewashed walls, terracotta pots overflowing with herbs, and flickering candlelight transport you straight to the Mediterranean coast—whether it’s Mykonos, Positano, or the shores of the French Riviera, you’ll feel like you’re dining in a seaside village.
The outdoor space is the crown jewel. Palm fronds sway above like lazy fans while the scent of rosemary, grilled seafood, and citrus drift through the salt-tinged air. There’s an effortless elegance here: linen tablecloths, soft music, and just enough breeze to kiss your shoulders while you sip on an icy glass of rosé.
The menu is a love letter to Mediterranean simplicity. Crudo arrives in a tomato jus. among heirloom tomatoes and basil that could’ve been picked from the garden minutes ago. And the housemade pasta? The Cacio e pepe Gnocci was Delicate, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—it melts in your mouth. The scallops are simply sublime with farm fresh vegetables.
Even dessert was reminiscent of a perfect French meal: think valhrona dark chocolate in the perfect soufflé with vanilla bean crème anglaise.
The service is warm and attentive without being overbearing. It’s clear the staff has been trained not just to serve food, but to help you linger—to let you believe, for an hour or two, that you’re far from the bustle of Palm Beach and somewhere magical on the Med.
The Blue Door isn’t just a meal—it’s a memory waiting to be made. Whether you’re there for a romantic date, a celebratory dinner, or just a quiet escape with a glass of wine, it delivers escapism with flavor, finesse, and...

I came in with high expectations which is my fault, but between the glowing Google reviews and all the Instagram/TikTok hype, this spot shot to the top of my list. The food was good and high quality, but nothing felt new or exciting, no real standout flavors or “wow” dishes. We tried the tuna carpaccio, beets and cucumber, gnocchi, branzino, and crab cakes. All solid, but nothing I’d rush back for.
Service was good, friendly and accommodating. We first sat inside (I don’t think the AC was working?), but they kindly moved us outside to accommodate our request, which was really nice. Unfortunately, the outdoor experience wasn’t much better. There are fans everywhere, which is great for the heat, but they were blowing food and menus around and sending bugs straight into our drinks.
The ambiance has so much potential. The decor is stunning, but there’s no music or energy to set a vibe like similar restaurants in South Florida area.
Overall, it’s good. Glad we tried it, but it feels like it’s geared more toward an older crowd. With a few tweaks, it could be an amazing trendy spot, but as it stands, we won’t be back as it doesn’t offer anything outside...
Read moreThis restaurant is extremely loud! I woke up with my ears ringing as if I’d been to a rock concert the night before. It was one of the Worst Experiences I’ve encountered in a restaurant. I emphasize the word Experience, the food itself was good. We waited over 50 minutes for our drink order alone which also meant that it was over 50 minutes before we could place our food order. The waiter did not come back to our table until I confronted both waiter and manager/owner after 40 minutes of waiting for our drink order to arrive. Then, it was another 10 minutes before drinks were brought to our table by another waiter. I am not exaggerating this review.
By the time our food arrived the “Experience“ of dining at Blue Door had produced anger and a mild case of PTSD. So disappointing…
Even more disappointing was the fact the owner/ manager offered NOTHING in the way of an acknowledgment of the poor service we had received, not even a token “Your iced tea is on me.” Which I hope she remembers if she encounters an experience like we had in her restaurant. Nothing!
The food was good, but roll up your sleeves because you’re going to work for it! By the time it arrives to your table your nerves will be shot!
We...
