I had high expectations for this restaurant (from it being packed and because it had 4.7 stars on google maps) but I was disappointed. I got the Philly Cheese Steak and steak taco. The Philly Cheese Steak was too salty, I believe it was caused by the soy sauce so I would recommend putting less. The steak taco had no add-ins! I was shocked when they told me that for around $4 I would get only the steak and sprinkled cheese (the kind you would have at a pizza restaurant). You can add more vegetables for 10 cents each, but I think that for $4, the taco should at least come with some sort of pico de gallo. The only thing I would recommend trying would be the fried potato chips. On the other hand, the service was great and the lady who took our order...

My mom and her friend just left this place and the staff refused to wait on them. All of the servers and staff we standing and looking for several minutes as they stood up and waited to be seated as the sign states. No one acknowledged them for at least 10 mins. All other patrons were eating and several tables were available. The restaurant was not full. After that, one lady did ask if they wanted a to go order!!! Never asking if they wanted to be seated. After they told this same lady they were waiting to be seated the waitress/server still did not seat them. They finally turned to leave and the same lady said "have a nice day". Stay away from this place if this is how they treat...

This place reminded me of the old Niffer's burger joint in downtown Opelika. I had the fried catfish meal. The combo comes with a side of coleslaw and fries. The catfish was good quality, but the battering coating was a little bit on the dark side(probably needs a more frequent frying oil change).

Was asked for a minimum tip of 5% and above at the register, even though it is a self-service type of place(pay first at the register, you get your own fountain drinks and condiments, sit yourself down, and a staff brings you a tray of food).

The Pokey Burger Combo meal is the best bang for your buck, imo.

Overall, it is a good option for a quick and easy lunch if you are...

Stopped by for lunch. We attempted to find walking trails in town, but we struck out. So we opted for lunch before heading back home. The wife went for a Philly, and I went for a club sandwich. Both had fries and a drink. Love restaurants set up in old brick stores or manufacturing shops. Food was pretty good and fast. They have salads but I'm not entirely sure they have many vegetarian or vegan options. But, you might be able to piece something together. Anyway, worth a try 👍
