The short story: very much a home-like environment, low pressure, not any blaring music just chill vibes, great coffee, good food and comfortable seating.

Also: it's a community hub. They have this sock donation bin for the needy, right now, that people seem to really be supporting. I love that. That fact alone gets a bonus πŸ’–

What I ordered: medium coffee and the Hammy Eggar (everything bagel breakfast sandwich with ham and egg and cheese).

The coffee: It's rare when I don't have to touch up a cup with something to make it feel right. Their cold brew didn't need anything - I did choose to sweeten it but that's only because I was having a rough morning and wanted something sweet.

The Hammy Eggar: Straight up? It's the very-high end of what I'd expect to get from a coffee shop. A top-5 breakfast sandwich in the area, in general, and there's some real stiff competition for that crown.

They pannini press the bagel with the egg (which is cooked just right - not runny, not overdone) and they put actual ham in there, not just deli meat from a grocery store. The ham does ride over the top of the experience, but it doesn't completely crowd out everything else. I have celiac, and this place doesn't have celiac friendly options, but I figured I've been taking a week to just let myself do what I want. $9 is a good price point for what you get, given how prices have gone up these days everywhere.

The biggest measure of praise I can give a restaurant or food service spot is: was it worth the gluten exposure, and the risk of what is going to happen to happen to me later? And in this case, yes (NOTE: I do not ever advise intentionally dosing yourself like this - I am not making a smart choice by doing this, but I also do not regret making the stupid choice when the food is this good).

The experience: like I said at the start, it's very chill. The guy at the front was very patient and kind even as I was hemming and hawing over what to order. He cooked it himself, served it himself - all in all a great experience and vibe here. I could write in this space (and they have a mic setup so I'm guessing they do small events here, which I'll gladly look into).

I think the strongest measure of a place like this is: would I go out of my way for it?

I would. I would choose it over a lot of different spaces, even though it is a little out of the way of where I normally go.

So, go here, because you're a damn silly goose...

Nestled in the heart of West Sacramento, He Brews Coffee is truly a hidden gem that has quickly become a beloved addition to the community. Under the visionary leadership of Michael, the manager, this coffee shop radiates warmth, creativity, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences to its patrons.

From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with a sense of welcome and enthusiasm that set the tone for my visit. The ambiance is cozy yet vibrant, adorned with captivating artwork from local artists that adds a unique touch to the space.

I opted for the Cold Brew with a splash of vanilla, and it was nothing short of heavenly. It was evident that He Brews takes pride in sourcing the freshest ingredients, as each sip burst with flavor and invigorated my senses. Whether you're in need of a morning pick-me-up or a refreshing midday treat, their beverages are sure to delight.

What truly sets He Brews apart is its commitment to supporting the local arts community. It's heartwarming to see a business that not only serves great coffee but also provides a platform for talented artists to showcase their work. The walls adorned with paintings and the promise of upcoming evening entertainment featuring local musicians only add to the charm of this establishment.

In addition to the outstanding coffee and artistic ambiance, the service at He Brews is exceptional. The staff members are not only quick and efficient but also genuinely friendly, making every interaction a pleasure.

As I look forward to returning to He Brews Coffee, I can't help but feel grateful for discovering such a gem in my own neighborhood. Whether you're a coffee aficionado, an art enthusiast, or simply someone in search of a welcoming community space, He Brews Coffee is sure to exceed your expectations. Cheers to Michael and the entire team for creating something...

Saturday, 9/07/2024 - drove by this business. The name "He Brews Coffee" caught my eyes. Address is 1540 Jefferson Blvd, West Sacramento, CA 95691. Cute little shop! The business is like a T. The cashier/order area is straight in front of you when you walk in thru the front door. Parking is limited. But when we arrived today, we had no problem. There is no charge on parking. My view on this cafe?

Pros:

  1. A cute little room to your left to hang out and relax.
  2. they have snacks and goodies to buy to enjoy with your drinks. I also saw they have breakfast and lunch foods to order, too. But we didn't order any food.
  3. they have stuff in the other room that looks like you can buy like t-shirts and stuff.
  4. There are books you can read.
  5. There are a few tables in the main area to sit and relax too.
  6. 1 bathroom to the left and one to the right of the register area. The bathroom is for men or women and needs a code to get in. Clean.

Cons

  1. None!

Conclusion The young man I talked to was very nice. He's the only one there working. So pls be patient when waiting for your orders. He says it's even busier during the weekdays and he works alone. That's great news. Means business is booming. I got a small Americano for $8.00 and 12oz Blueberry Lavander Lemonade drink for $5.00. Both are good. I thought this place was so cute. I'd go here again! Check it out if you're...

I was so excited to try this local business for the first time via Doordash, but the food I got was not at all as advertised, and I ended up throwing it away after tasting it. The photo of the peanut butter toffee bar on the app looks like a freshly-made pastry. What I got was a pre-packaged *thing* that tasted like old butter rolled in preservatives. The coffee was lukewarm and worse than gas station coffee.
