This place was absolutely horrendous the management was beyond belief. Apparently this place had had gatherings before by the family after funerals and functions. This kind my granddaughter ordered chicken Parmesan for 25 people. The chicken was BAD!! IT'S SMELT LIKE BLEACH. They charge my granddaughter $15 a plate totaling $375. Only five dinners at one table had no smell. The little ones hadn't even received their plates yet, only bread, salad and drinks. They would not make it good or recognize the issue, so we called the police. The West Springfield police were absolutely horrendous also they did absolutely to help the situation except to take the owners part. The owner had a dinner sitting there that he brought out and said it tasted just fine. I smell a piece of his chicken and it smelt perfectly normal no real smell at all. I had someone bring my plate out from the dining room, I cut off a piece of the chicken from my play I ask the owner to smell both pieces. He said they both smelled the same they were fine. THEY WERE NOT MINE HAD THE SMELL OF BLEACH HIS DID NOT. I ASKED THE OFFICER TO JUST SMELL THEM NOT TASTE THEM JUST SMELL THEM AND HE REFUSED!! THEN THE OWNER SAID THEY WOULD ONLY CHARGE MY GRANDDAUGHTER FOR 5 MEALS AT ONE TABLE THAT APPARENTLY WERE OKAY. INBRED DRINKS AND SALAD FOR THE REST OF THE MEALS THE TOTAL BILL AT $15 A PLATE WAS $375 DOLLARS. THEY CHARGED MY GRANDDAUGHTER $315 she had to pay cash which is their policy they don't take debit they refused to give her an itemized receipt only a piece of paper with the $315 which he signed. The officer wouldn't even tell him to give her a written receipt. SO WE ALL HE REALLY TOOK OFF WAS $65 THAT DOES NOT SOUND LIKE 20 MEALS AT $15 A MEAL. MY GRANDDAUGHTER IS ALSO NOTIFYING THE...
Read moreI'll keep it a 100, this place is the definition of mid. Buckle up cause it's finna be a ride.
Service: went on a Saturday around 1130 so it was busy which is fine. However the workers won't seat you if you're entire party is not there. Meaning if you have a large party and some folks are falling behind by a few minutes, you will wait longer to be sat until they all show up. Instead of just being sat with who you have and having the table size ready. The staff are friendly af tho. They are super nice and efficient. Only issue was splitting the checks. The check was asked to be split before we started service and it came out all on one bill instead of being split individually (yes it may be an inconvenience but again it was stated at the start and they agreed to it)
Food: was okay overall. I got the eggs Benedict and I gave it 5/10. The eggs were cooked perfectly. However they didn't taste like anything even though they had an absurd amount of some type of seasoning on it. The English muffin wasn't toasty and the ham was over cooked. I got a fresh squeeze mimosa and it would have been great if I didn't have to not worry about swallowing a seed. There was no denying that it was fresh squeeze cause every seed the orange had, ended up in my glass. The menu is massive and we all know what happens when you have a 4 page menu plus specials.
Atmosphere: it is unbelievably outdated. I felt like I walked into 1976. I know it's been around for a long time but it just looks very antique and dingy. It's in desperate need of a remodel with new carpet and even a potential new layout. It's just not inviting to anyone...
Read moreMy friend and I took some of our kids out for breakfast today. After a couple fail attempts at 2 other locations( the other 2 restaurants happened to both be closed for this week) we found Memos. Had never heard of it before, but decided to check it out. When we drove up the small parking lot was packed. So expect to have to park on the street and walk to the place. Upon walking in the place looked kind of dated but that wasnt a deal breaker. While waiting for our seats which i was surprised took almost no time at alI, I realized it is a cash only place. That would have been a deal breaker except I happen to have enough money on me to cover our party of 7. So if you're coming here definitely have cash on you. Besides that little issue(which i guess isnt huge since they do have an atm somewhere in the restaurant)Im glad we stayed. The staff was wonderful. Super friendly and attentive to our table the whole time we were there. The food was ordered came out in a decent time and it was still hot. The food was really good, the kids all enjoyed it as well, and they had a gluten free menu which was a plus as my friend has celiacs and gets severely ill from it. All in all it was a wonderful experience and before we left our waitress came out with a basket and the kids each got a little rubber duck which they love. Seriously A+ in customer service. Will...
