Let me start out by saying that I normally have a 5 star experiance here. DEFINATELY RECCOMEND, The food & atmosphere are INCREDIBLE. HOWEVER, tonight was a DISASTER! First, my date & I were sat right by the entrance to the kitchen & when we asked for a different table, were sat by the bathroom, alternatively. Now, this IS the weekend before Valentine's Day, so it was quite busy, but I had made a reservation weeks in advance, so you'd think those would not have been the only choices. Then, the waitress took FOREVER to take our order & I had to remind her multiple times that I wanted lemon for my water. We almost walked out, when we had been sitting for an hour without food. Once the appetizers finally came, we were starving & it felt like FOREVER, before the dirty dishes were cleared from our table. They apparently had a different menu than what was online, because a few things we tried to order, they did not have. I was told that my dish came with a "slaw," so, I did not order a side dish, but when I received the dish, the "slaw" was just literally a couple leaves of arugula & a couple shavings of carrot. I wasn't expecting a bowl full, but there was maybe a tablespoon full. It was a garnish. The salmon was good, but slightly overdone. Definately recommend the fried brussel sprouts & the mashed white sweet potato. The mixed drink I ordered tasted like floor cleaner. The table next to us was filled with a party of about 8 very obnoxious drinking people, who were, at one point, having a very loud discussion about vaginal discharge. It was quite nausiating. They were so loud, infact, that by the time we finally left, I had a headache. For desert, we ordered the chocolate lava cake, which was magnificent, but we had to order it to go, because everything just took SO LONG & that table was just so loud & obnoxious. We asked that the bill be split, when we had ordered, but we were brought a single check at the end, which the waitress insisted she had to separate the check when at the register, cashing us out, so, instead of paying for what we each ordered individually, it was literally split in half. At this point, we STILL had not gotten our desert order, so we waited for it in the bar, WHICH WAS CALMER THAN BEING NEAR THAT TABLE & PROMPTLY LEFT ONCE WE GOT OUR CAKE, which we ate once we got home & was delicious, however, it was supposed to come with a raspberry sauce, which was not present. DISAPPOINTED TONIGHT, BECAUSE WE KNOW THEY CAN DO SO...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe 4.5 star average that Latitude has currently is inflated in my experience. I've eaten here twice, both for lunch: first experience was fine (4/5) and the second experience was rough (2/5). I'm not looking to unfairly rate this place two stars or below since some dishes are cooked and seasoned well, mostly the small plates. However, even at best it roughly delivers for the price with some hiccups most people would probably overlook (e.g. using Cool Whip instead of whipped cream). There are clearly consistency issues. The latest time was 1:30pm on a Saturday with a group of 9. Restaurant was empty, small plates were solid, ceaser salad was decent, but we had many issues from here on out: undercooked/raw pork that was attempted to be fixed by cooking longer 2x but still never was cooked through in the end, the same pork was bone in instead of boneless as stated on the menu, steak undercooked (ordered medium rare and came very rare), burger undercooked (same issue as the steak), service started to fall apart as a few additional tables filled, and there were even egg shell pieces in the tiramisu. Because of all the pork difficulties, the waiter (who discussed with a manager who wasn't there) offered to first comp a dessert then comp the meal plus give us one to take home for the repeated issues. The other issues didn't make the food inedible so weren't surfaced, but certainly hurt the experience.
Other than for the possibility of finding egg shell in the tiramisu's custard, I'd recommend to skip it because it varries between fine and some bites being extremely bland. It's also topped with Cool Whip.
Overall (on average): service is fine, atmosphere is nothing special, and the food is a miss with some ok dishes being the best case. If you must go, I'd pick something that can't be undercooked (pasta, sandwich, etc.), stick with small plates (e.g. calamari), and skip dessert. The 30y port wine was honestly the best part (and you can't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went to Lattitude Restaurant on Saturday and had a wonderful evening and food experience. We were a group of 8 and were there while our teens went to their prom, which has been held at Lattitude for many years now. The staff, including the owner, could not say enough about how much they enjoyed hosting the prom at their venue and how much they look forward to it each year.
We arrived early (6:15pm) to drop off teens at the prom and because it was a busy Saturday night and we were a party of 8, we were not able to get a reservation until 7:30pm. Staff was kind enough to allow us to sit out on the patio and they promptly got a heater going for us because it was a bit chilly. The owner even brought out homemade potato chips with a delicious dipping sauce for us to snack on which he offered on the house. They truly did everything to make us comfortable prior to getting seated at our table.
Our reservations did get delayed a bit because there was another party ahead of us that was not leaving as quickly as they were supposed to. The hostess came out several times and apologized for the delay and to accommodate our group they put us in a private room normally reserved for Chefās tastings. This was absolutely perfect because it was very quiet and we were able to have good conversation.
My husband and I split the tuna flatbread, which was raw tuna, edamame and wasabi cream on a flatbread. It was absolutely delicious. We decided to share our entrees. My husband ordered the chicken under brick, served on top of gnocchi and I had the beef tenderloin with polenta and asparagus. Both entrees were outstanding.
Service was quick and friendly. Our waitress was very attentive. Amanda and Zach deserve a huge shout out.
We cannot think of a better evening -- our teens had an amazing time at their prom and we got to enjoy a...
