the waitresses are nice, the food decent but i was disappointed with the owner. i had been there last weekend working on homework. i asked the waitress if it was cool if i was there for a few hours and she said yes; i was there for about 3.5 hours. i ordered breakfast, four drinks and lunch because i was taking up a booth, however there was never a wait out the door. when i left i tipped her about what my entire meal cost because i knew i had taken a place where probably 2 other groups or customers could have been sat. today i went there to do the same. again i asked the waitress. then the owner came over...he went on to say that it's his policy to now allow people to sit for long periods of time when it's busy...there were about 5 other tables with people at them at this time. i told him i could just leave but i was a paying customer last weekend and was going to be a paying customer again today. i asked him if he would ask an older couple who was visiting to leave, or people who hadn't seen each other for a long time and were catching up for hours to leave...he said during busy times he would and i can respect that but he came up to me when there wasn't a line waiting for a table so he really didn't have a leg to stand on when using that as his argument. he insisted he wasn't asking me to leave but he kind of was in a Minnesota passive aggressive way and continued to try buy me a drink and didn't want his waitress to give me the bill for my half finished beer; (don't offer because you feel bad and let me tip the waitress who was nice and thought you coming over was uncalled for). i've been a server in my life for about 15 years so i was respectful to the waitress in asking to take up a booth and giving her a huge tip to make up for the tables she would have lost, plus it's not like i wasn't ordering. its just too bad cause i thought this place was cool dive bar but now i just think its...

Came here a few years ago for a fish fry. Wasn't impressed with the fish (very overcooked) but the waffle fries were great (they gave us a ton!). Decided to give the place a try again recently. The owner happened to be here this time, and was going around greeting everyone. Seemed very friendly. The waitress accidentally mixed up our order. We ordered the fried wontons and they brought out the wrong flavor. Since they look similar, we didn't realize they weren't the ones we ordered until we each ate one. Waitress was super nice about it, and said she would fix it. She left the wrong order at our table, and we assumed that due to covid they couldn't take the food back and left it for us to have (especially since it was their mistake). Owner walked up to us and sarcastically said, oh if you like those too we can just add that to your bill. We were baffled?! He then took away the order, after making us feel small. Not to mention, for $3.50 we added waffle fries to our meals to substitute the chips. We only got exactly 5 small waffle fries each. What?! I'm not giving this place a try again! Went here for lunch today. My brother ordered the club sandwich and I ordered the patty melt with waffle fries. We get our food and on my plate were 8 waffle fries for 3.50.i figured whatever and started eating. My brother started eating his club and a couple bites in he bit into a toothpick that was broken off inside the sandwich and not the one he pulled out before eating. He ended up getting poked in the gums because of this. We got the waitress over and got a new one made with a unsympathetic apology from the waitress. He got his new one and it was fine and she brought out extra waffle fries. Then we get our bill and they didn't take anything off for the broken toothpick inside the sandwich. We asked her about it and she says to us if we make a new order and you eat it then they wont comp the bill. She said its company policy. Well we came here to eat and what are we supposed to not eat. This is complete bs. Will never come back to this dive. And as for the patty melt the bread was as hard as a crouton and the burger was very dry. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to accidentally swallow a toothpick...
