Atmosphere rating I put 5/5 but it does not apply. This is a pick up place only, with limited weather permitting outdoor seats. I am confused by some of the lower reviews that say the exact opposite of how I feel. I have to say based on prices and quantity thereās no competition. The pad see ew I could eat in 3 parts. And the spring rolls are so fresh and large sized! I also very much enjoyed the egg rolls, I got the veggie ones. They were probably the best egg rolls Iāve had. I understand everyone prefers different types but that doesnāt mean the food is bad. I saw someone said theyāre are few veggies in the chicken pad thai, but I donāt think pad Thai is a veggie dish anyway? So Iām confused. You top with green onion and bean sprouts and thatās all Iāve ever seen. So to rate low based on that, and āgreasy egg rollsā well theyāre cooked in oil, so not sure what you were expecting. & they are NOT overly greasy, theyāre crispy and fresh and they arenāt over saturated & do not taste like grease, so again.. thatās sort of non applicable. If you want veggies, then try the spring rolls? Anyways, the food was all 5/5 for me and I would recommend, if you donāt like it thatās fine but itās worth trying and supporting a small business. These are the businesses we should support, not the McDonaldās. If we donāt support then we will lose the diversity of good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ordered dinner from Thai Papper online in April 2020 and overall I would recommend it, but we did have one issue. We ordered a side of sticky rice, mild spice Pad Thai with veggies, and medium spice Pad Prik Khing with chicken.
The sticky rice was delicious. I was really happy to see that they offered it, and using it to soak up the sauce from the Pad Prik Khing was amazing. 5/5
Speaking of the Pad Prik Khing, it was also great. I like to think I can handle more than the average amount of Minnesotan spice levels but I was wary about getting āspicyā or āextra-spicyā from a Thai place! Iām glad I went with the āmedium spicyā because it was hot to the point where I was sniffing a bit during the meal but my tongue wasnāt on fire for more than a minute or two after finishing the meal. The flavors of the dish were really nice, I would 100% order that again. 5/5
Our issue was with the mild Pad Thai, both my wife and I thought it needed more flavor. Maybe just donāt order āmildā or āvegetarianā because it was pretty bland. 2/5
Overall, Iāll be back for the Pad Prik Khing and sticky rice but weāll try something besides...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter moving to the area I was looking for a great quick Pad Thai place and Thai Pepper has become that staple over the last few months. There are plenty of tasty Thai places in the cities but this one has great prices, it's local and convenient, and has consistent quality.
I frequently order the Chicken Pad Thai or the Tofu Pad Thai. Both are simple dishes that are very tasty (cilantro, ground peanuts, egg, nice pieces of meat or tofu, and lots of tasty rice noodles). I have also tried their egg rolls - I highly recommend those. They're always served piping hot and fresh and they use the best dipping sauce. I will say the Pad Thai as ordered is NOT spicy.
I've also recently gotten their Papaya salad not knowing what it was but wanting to try it. Definitely a delicious cold salad! It has a hint of spice to it because of the dressing. I could probably make a very filling meal out of that and some egg rolls. Please give this place a try if you're craving some Asian cuisine that's quick, affordable, and tasty!
Pictured are my Chicken Pad Thai and Papaya Salad (admittedly after several bites were...
