Carnitas Mi Niño — Restaurant in West Valley City

These are the best carnitas I've had in the Salt Lake Valley. They have the authentic taste of Michoacan with amazing flavor. There is usually a line out the door, and that's how you know the food is worth it. They also have fresh salsas, rice, beans, fresh made tortillas, and very delicious menudo. We bought carnitas to go. We've been buying here for a while now and the quality of the carnotas has decreased. While they arw tasty, the texture is not what you'd expect. Beyond being greasy, as carnitas are, they are watery which they should not be. In addition, the order of carnitas does not include any of the staples that should be included like tortillas, salsa or other sides. This will probably be our last time...

Loved this place. I got there a couple hours passing lunch and sadly I got just the scraps of carnitas, but let me tell you, it was amazing. No the average carnitas taste, the real carnitas michoacanas with cuerito an salsa. Be sure to get early there to get your stuff. The aguas frescas are always the catch. Yummy but expensive.
