Worst experience ever. When my husband and I ordered our food, I asked for my skillet to be made without onions, but the waitress brought it to me with onions anyways. The waitress was so busy socializing, cracking jokes, and cussing away in spanish with the table behind us that she didn't realize she brought out our food without silverware. When we got her attention, we asked for the silverware and a bottle of Cholula hot sauce, and she only brought us the silverware. The hostess noticed we were trying to find our waitress and came to see what we needed. She was the one who brought us a bottle of Cholula. I honestly thought that they cleaned the bottles in between customers, but apparently they don't because she literally asked the table in front of us if they were done with their sauce and then handed that to us. It felt like we kept having to ask to be attended. My husband wanted a straw for his soda but the waitress disappeared and so he didnt bother to ask for one. But the tables around us had gotten straws and they didnt have to ask for them so... why did we have to ask? The waitress, again, was so busy socializing she didn't bother to come back to check if the food was good. It wasn't. It wasn't just a matter of the onions. I asked for the eggs over easy, but the whites were still raw like they would be for sunny side up. And for the three pancakes... one was doughy, and the other two were practically still batter; they were so undercooked. When we showed this to the waitress, she asked if I wanted new ones, and I told her no. I just wanted to leave. But she wanted to make it right, or something of that nature because she said she would get us new ones and took the ones I had back to the kitchen. About 10 minutes pass by, and I hear the staff in the kitchen yell, "Who's pancakes are these sitting here!?". Once again, because the waitress was busy socializing, she didn't realize the pancakes were ready. I was so done with the whole situation my husband and I just got up, paid, and left. And no, we...
Read moreI stopped by for breakfast today because I happened to be in the neighborhood. I was greeted promptly and courteously seated and was given menus. The server came out quickly and asked my drink preference. A short time later he came back with my water and by that time I was ready to order. I ordered corned beef hash eggs over easy with the three pancakes side. The food came out in a reasonably decent amount of time. Now for the food, the portion size was decent for the hash the hash browns looked like a decent amount and the pancakes looked pretty good. The potatoes were uncooked, the top pancake was burnt on the bottom making the pancakes taste like burnt pancakes. Leaving the dark on aside the other two weren’t bad. The over easy eggs were more like hard yolk eggs on the bottom of the eggs, so that is one more reason not to eat hire. So as far as a decent breakfast is concerned, for $15+ for a meal that had uncooked potatoes (how do you do that?) a burnt pancake I will have to pick another place for my breakfast going forward. Now for the service, I only had water with my meal which turned out to be e a good thing, I literally had to get up and find my server who was in the back and ask for more water. The only time I saw him was when I ordered, when he dropped off my food and when I had to find him for a refill. For sure I’ll find another breakfast spot. I’m not in the habit of leaving low ratings on my reviews, but, the food and service left a lot to be desired. The only reason that I didn’t leave a one star review was because of the portion size. Ratings are dependent upon the entire experience and I was sorely...
Read moreI love village inn but this location has really gone down hill. My husband and I went in today for breakfast. It was busier but nothing too crazy. We get sat at our table and the smell of bleach is extremely overpowering. Our server Cassie came over yelling across the room to another table asking if they were ok. She then asked if we were ready to order without even greeting us. She took our order and before I even finished telling her what I wanted, she started taking my husbands order. She was extremely cold. So, ok maybe she’s having a bad day. I look past it. She came over with our food a few minutes later, slamming open her tray holder and yelling up to the front seating area at the two workers, telling them what to do repeatedly saying “wipe down the tables and then sit. Wipe and then sit. I mean come on look at these tables.” Extremely unprofessional. Granted a family was waiting in the lobby, but the professionalism And the way she spoke to the hostesses was awful. She sets are food down in a hurry and says “sorry, enjoy your meal.” Then walks away. Now I understand a bad day but again i have seen that lobby much fuller. The icing on top of the cake is when my husband stood up from the table and had two bleached spots on his brand new shirt. So we told the lady at check out and she said “oh, that’s never happened before.” Then proceeded to check us out at full price. I was absolutely disgusted with the...
