Jamon y queso omelette, fruit mixtas and cafe de olla. They were out of the Mexican mocha I wanted to try. The cafe de olla is top two in Salt lake City! No lie. It was great! The salsa was just how my mom made it and I loved it. The beans were a bit thin for my taste..but they had great flavor. The potatoes were good. The toast was so hard and crispy. I had a tough time biting into it. It also had great flavor tho. You can taste that butter! Whoo! The fruit was a bit green. But I actually like it that way. The service was good. Not great. i stood in line for them to tell me that I needed to sit and order at my table if I was sitting in. I sat down they came and took my order but they don't ever come back to check up on you. In my opinion, if you're NOT going to wait on people. You should just have them walk in and place their order at the counter. Give them their number and take them the food when it's ready. That way, they don't expect to be waited on. It's paid for and they can just leave when they're done. I had to go back in line to pay and ask for a doggy bag. It just wasn't the best system in my opinion. All in all, the food is great. The coffee is excellent. Maybe they just need more time to get...
Read moreI’m only speaking on my own experience. This is not about their food. We came here on a Monday morning due to the really good reviews. When we got there they were busy but nothing too crazy. We sat down at 9:30am. We got our drinks around 9:50am and waited for over 30 mins for someone to take our order and no one came. By this point they were getting really busy. We called a waitress and she took our order. We waited and waited. We saw people in the surrounding tables coming, ordering, eating and leaving. This made us extremely upset and dissatisfied. One guy came to check up on us and I told him we had been waiting for a very long time. He was like oh it’s ok don’t worry about it. Like what? Anyway, we left around 10:36 am. Without having a chance to try their food. They need a better system to ensure patrons are being served and assisted in a timely manner. We waited for over an hour before getting up and leaving. We had small children and they didn’t even have a high chair for my baby because they were being used by one family. They only have 2. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.
I will update if we ever decide to go back and actually get to...
Read moreSo happy to have this place open up in my neighborhood and it's our go-to when we want proper, healthy food.
Everything I've tried is soooo good and the front line people are very proud of the restaurant. I've visited several times already and it's consistently delicious, light, and fresh. I've tried a lot of items and my favorites have carnitas-anything, though the vegetarian options are equally tasty and flavorful.
For sure, this place is nutso during peak times, so come after 1:30 and you'll have no problems getting a table and getting your food quickly.
Can I say... Dang, their drip coffee is rich, warming, and STRONG. It will put hair on your chest, baby. I love it!
Ordering is easy at the counter and going back in line for extras items isn't so terrible. Again, go when it's off-peak and you'll have a more comfortable experience.
Parking is plentiful and it seems accessible for the physically challenged (no stairs, parking right by the front...
