Casa Frida Mexican Grill — Restaurant in West Valley City

MY FAVORITE MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN THE STATE OF UTAH AND I HOPE THEIR FLAVOR STAYS THIS WAY.

I have been following them on social media for a while, I love their vibes for their commercials, postings and presentation of the food they offer!

It is in the border of Magna and West Valley its about 20 minutes drive for us, BUT worth the drive.

They have their own parking lot which is nice and plenty of parking. They also have a drive thru window, you can order ahead, dine in or takeout.

They have a large menu to even please the pickiest eater. They have aguas frescas, coke products fountain drinks along with bottled soda drinks. They also sell beer only, make micheladas etc.

Staff is super friendly, welcoming, pleasant and explain the menu or any questions that you may have. We went today 08/10/2025 @ 6 pm and it was pretty busy.

We ordered:

Carne asada pambazo (guajalote) - MY FAV - so soooo sooooo good! 3 piece pollo combo comes with salsa, grilled onions, tortillas, rice and beans. Chicken was soooooo juicy! The rice and beans had phenomal flavor. Carne asada burrito - its pretty big and packed with rice, beans, cheese, pico de gallo and your choice of meat. We ordered menudo it comes with all the fixings pretty large good flavor. Agua de sandia - agua fresca!!! Sooo sooo good.

Even though it was a large order they got the order perfect, just like how we ordered it. We were very pleased with the burst of flavors, options, portion sizes and the cost.

Casa Frida Mexican Grill, offers an authentic and outstanding Mexican dining experience. The pollo asado was exceptional. The steak tacos was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the double-wrapped tortillas were a nice touch. The pico de gallo was incredibly fresh, and the salsas were clearly made in-house, boasting vibrant, authentic flavors. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff, particularly the owner, who made the experience even more enjoyable. We ordered the #3 combo with a half chicken, rice and beans and two al pastor street tacos. The chicken was absolutely delicious which we ate with our fingers (the right way!) The beans were authentically excellent and the mexican rice was perfect. But maybe best of all were the three housemade salsas, mild, medium, and hot, each with rich, deep, unique flavor! Served only with corn tortillas for dipping. And don't miss their amazing churros! This was definitelya feast...
