I’ve been a very loyal Chan’s customer for over 15 years. With that being said, I will never return again. Ever since they changed owners the restaurant has been at a rapid decline. Two things made Chan’s stand out among all the other Chinese restaurants. The Eggroll and the General Tsos. Unfortunately, like many other items on the menu, the quality had diminished substantially. The quality of ingredients has taken a nose dive with an obvious and very terrible taste. We’ve given them several chances since the change in management, but each time it gets progressively worse. The new neon signs and new menu make the restaurant feel like another terrible and cheap Chinese takeout joint. This would be fine if they wanted to take that route, however, they have kept their prices the same as when real and good food was being served. Service has always been hit or miss even under the previous management, but now it’s like the majority of them just don’t care at all. We have never experienced a more rude waitress at any other restaurant as we have with one of the older Asian waitress we had the other night. Chan’s used to be a great place for a nice family meal and even better for a romantic date night. This is no longer the case. They’ve gotten rid of their alcohol, which isn’t a huge deal, but doesn’t make a lot of sense. It’s a shame that such a great business with such a long positive standing in the community can change almost overnight. When it comes to a nice Chinese meal, we will be taking our busines to Sesame Inn...
